I dunno to be honest. The reason I switched was because I was bored with iOS. But it's come a long way, and most of my criticisms have since been fixed (quick toggles, UI redesign, larger screens, 3rd party keyboards). So maybe one day. I was super tempted to buy a 6+ when my contract ran out.. But my phone died before they were released, so I just stuck with android.soooooo, you'll never buy an iphone?
get itube or free music downloading apps, or start using spotify with your facebook account (if you have one)I dunno to be honest. The reason I switched was because I was bored with iOS. I'm sure I could live with an iPhone, it's having to deal with the laggy piece of shit that is iTunes that puts me off. Removing that from my computer was the best thing ever. Can you buy music through Google Play Music on iOS? If you can that would go a long way in me making a switch.

I use Chrome, but it's a bit of a memory hog. It has all the extensions and whatnot that I like to use though so I keep using it. If Firefox had easier extension usage (it might now, I haven't used it in a couple of years) I miiiight switch to thatmines always a football.
what browser y'all using?
I really like Play Music, pretty sure it has an iOS app. So I'd keep using that. I also use Rdio over spotify, for the single reason that I signed up for it first and it's practically identical to Spotify.get itube or free music downloading apps, or start using spotify with your facebook account (if you have one)

spotify is best free on the computer, its actually so shit on the phoneI really like Play Music, pretty sure it has an iOS app. So I'd keep using that. I also use Rdio over spotify, for the single reason that I signed up for it first and it's practically identical to Spotify.
I tried it when they introduced the new "Australis" redesign a few months ago. Looks and feels a lot like chrome now. If it wasn't for the bogged down start up times I'd have probably stuck to it. It's come a long way though. Extension usage was pretty straight forward and miles better then it used to be.
I also never understood that. Rdio is free on both phone and desktop (I believe, I've only really used the app).spotify is best free on the computer, its actually so shit on the phone
Sounds like I should give it a bit of a try then!I tried it when they introduced the new "Australis" redesign a few months ago. Looks and feels a lot like chrome now. i have firefox, never use it but it actually looks pretty decent i thinking of making the switchSounds like I should give it a bit of a try then!
Also, does anyone else have a Chromecast? I got myself one around Christmas and I find myself using it daily. The free offers are pretty good too, I got $6 credit in the play store the other day from it and it comes with a 3 month subscription to Play Music All Access. I couldn't use that though because I already have a subscription to All Access. I also got a free copy of X-Men, so I guess that's nice. Chromecast is also the reason I stick with Play Music over Spotify for my music, Spotify doesn't have native Chromecast support and they want to create their own separate wireless thing.
i only use spotify on my computer when connected to wifi (obviously) (rarely use it on my phone)Am I the only person still nearly exclusively using torrents and blogs to download music? I just don't really get the streaming trend. How do you listen to your music on the go? Wouldn't that drain bandwidth?

buying is a rip off mate, especially itunes (you dont need to worry as you dont use it)I don't stream. Not everyday. I stream on the odd occasion, like the Hottest 100 and stuff because radio where I live is almost exclusively AM. Other then that though, I still use local media. I download, sort out ID tags and chuck it on my SD card. Then I'm good to go. I buy music more then I torrent though.
Most of my torrent avenues are gone though. I usually buy my music on play music, download it and chuck it on my SD card for my phone, and then it syncs from the cloud to my tablet. Easiest way for me.buying is a rip off mate, especially itunes (you dont need to worry as you dont use it)
if that was apple, it would be blocked as that means no money for them since they dont already have enough :/In regards to movies and TV shows, I use popcorn time on my tablet. ******* awesome app.
Nothing wrong with supporting artists you like who put money, time and effort into making a product you consume and enjoy.buying is a rip off mate, especially itunes (you dont need to worry as you dont use it)
iTube? I suppose that's some app that rips an mp3 from YouTube or something? Compressed, awful quality.i only use spotify on my computer when connected to wifi (obviously) (rarely use it on my phone)
i never pay for music, i use itube on my phone which is a offline feature app, so i download it on wifi then get it offline. I try to use as little data as possible since i only get 400mb a month (which is shit and all i can afford)
i never use itunes its slow and annoying, all movies are downloaded via torrents along with tv shows
Samsungs skin would he the worst to learn android through. Stock or HTC's sense is the way to go. I went stock for my first android, and now I'm with Samsung. I'm gonna ROM my phone when Cyanogenmod 12 comes out in a stable though. Tablet wise I went with a nexus 9. Solid tablet.if that was apple, it would be blocked as that means no money for them since they dont already have enough :/
apple are an addicting scam, i wanna change to samsung but cant be bothered learning a new system

I just get all the songs I listen to and put them into a playlist and then save that playlist locally. I used to use torrents and all that that for music, but I used a free trial of Spotify and Play Music and i just found it easier for my needs. But streaming it certainly isn't for everyone.Am I the only person still nearly exclusively using torrents and blogs to download music? I just don't really get the streaming trend. Most torrents these days will be highest standard mp3 @ 320kps which is as good as you'd get at iTunes (they use AAC iirc - similar quality). Unless you're buying a lossless version via Bandcamp or a service that offers it, or the actualy physical CD or Vinyl, you're getting the same quality as a torrent.I usually torrent an album, then if I like it enough purchase it so I get a good quality version of it. But as of late, I've enjoyed buying albums first and discovering it without knowing anything about the album apart from singles that I listen to through youtube.
No, like, it's awful quality. Always. YouTube compresses the shit out of audio. You'd probably not notice the difference with a tinny 20 buck pair of Apple buds anyway.the quality depends on the video
So you can save files locally? I take it you have to pay a subscription for this service?I just get all the songs I listen to and put them into a playlist and then save that playlist locally.
