I don't think they'll decrease the number of teams akkaps. That was the plan, but after the way some of the associate teams played in this world cup, it would be an incredibly unpopular move to kick them out.

I hope we get more teams. It would be a massive shame if they reduced it to 10 teams as they have discussed. Seeing the developing nations play is one of the best things about the World Cup.

If it's about the length of the tournament, they just need to schedule more than one game a day for weekends and not have pools of 7 or whatever it is. The only reason the pools of 8 exist is to give the bigger nations a maximum chance of going through, even if they drop a game. It's a joke. You'll notice there is no such leeway in the football world cup, with only 3 group games making every game cutthroat.

16 teams, 4 pools of 4 with a single round robin for the group stage.

24 group stage games
4 quarter final games
2 semi final games
1 final.

That's 31 games with 16 teams. 2 more teams and 11 less games than this world cup. The big pools are stupid.

I would prefer more teams in the World Cup, and your suggestion is perfect. It's just that the ICC don't seem to agree.

Ireland are definitely developing into a World Class side, and have shown that they can take on the Full members in these games, it would be a shame not to see them in the World Cup in England. It is annoying to see the format change every few years, as it should stay the same, much like the FIFA World Cup

By the way, the World Cup has 49 games, not 42 as you have stated. The reason this World Cup went for so long was that they scheduled the majority of the New Zealand and Australian games between Friday and Sunday. Australia played 4 games on Saturday, 1 on Sunday, and 1 on a Wednesday. New Zealand played 2 on Friday, 2 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday, and 1 on Tuesday. This meant that the World Cup had to be extended over a longer period of time. They should have had two games each day (1 in NZ and 1 in Aus), but they didn't.

The IPL has 8 teams and 60 games over 46 days. Each team must play each other twice followed by a 4 team Paige-McIntyre Playoff system. Every few days they have 2 games on one night, with some teams playing twice in three days. And they don't favour one team over the other for scheduling.

I've had a free VPN extension on Chrome for a while, which doesn't always work and can be pretty slow. Just gave it a try on Netflix, and I can get the whole US catalogue no worries!

Free VPNs are pretty unreliable from what I've heard, plus anything that's free I wouldn't necessarily trust the security of

Yeah I am a little skeptical. Although it is a pretty popular VPN, and it has a paid service available too, so we'll see how we go.
