Man, I was so keen to have footy back. One round in, WC is arguably no different- a middling low end side, and I wish it hasn't come back now. Loooooong season ahead I fear.

To be fair it's just our midfield that is middling/low-end. Our forwards, defence and rucks are all top four. We should be making the 8 if we weren't unlucky bastards and didn't lose our two best KPD's to ACL's. McGovern will be AA if he plays even half as good as he did on Saturday night for the rest of the year.

I'm actually starting to think it's not bad luck. We keep getting hit with loads of injuries year after year. It might (Or might not) actually be something to do with how the players are being prepared by the coaches and trainers.

Its definitely something the club is doing, there is no way a club can be so unlucky injury wise. Not with the money I presume we're spending in that area (being wealthy and all).

I cannot agree more. The Eagles last year made the league's highest profit. I'm sure there's plenty of money in the kitty that could be used to address the issue.
