This logo (which i'm sure isn't official) aside, I may have just had my NRL club chosen for me

It's as good a reason as any, really.

The whole concept is pretty interesting though, and I wonder how far it'll go. Obviously starting off with checking out each other's training facilities and admin set ups.

If Port decide to change their nickname to the Panthers, then it seems obvious that you'll be wanting to trade for Cam "The Panther" Shenton from the Saints. Talks would have to start at Wines and Wingard for Panth, maybe a pick thrown in our way to sweeten the deal a little.

By that logic, I really wish we'd entered the AFL as the Ducks.

Oh yep, was reading an article about human rights campaigners trying to cancel the Bahrain Grand Prix again. Good thing I wasn't in public or I would have got a few looks.

My mum used to tell me that if everything smelled like dog shit, then I should probably check my shoe. To simplify this metaphor, it's saying that if you think everybody around you is an arseh*le, then you're probably the arseh*le, not them.

This isn't entirely relevant to what you're saying but it's an important life lesson anyway.

I think the mutual connection lies in the fact that both bird shit and dog shit are feces of animals, and we both used them in analogies. So, yeah, kind of relevant.
 
This should probably go into the logo discussion thread due to how important it is to this design community. But as it may cause massive debate that could lean on the ridiculous, I thought it would be better in here instead.

Craegus Designs has released new logos (well it is more of an update to the old design than a new logo set) earlier than expected (I believe the original release date was to be in early May).

I believe the colours of the logos remain the same as they were in the 2012-15 version, but I cannot tell by the released image (apart from the dividing line being those colours. However I am unsure of the exact colour set up of the new alternate. I am guessing the sweeping lines are the normal colours but the text in the different position may mean that the text is not just dark blue or may not be dark blue at all.

Current supporters of Craegus industries - including the design sector, of course - are likely to be confused.

I hope they'll warm to these drastic changes, because it looks good, but I fear an initial period of criticism and introspection.

But yeah nice work Man. When will the alt be used?

Yeah it is a massive change, but for supporters of the brand it is not the first time that they have seen a massive change in logo, or even a complete recolouring, this brand has undergone several redesigns in the past, some far more radical than this one.

The alternate will be used in the above form or in a combination style with the main (e.g. shortened sweeping lines with long text underneath) for purposes where the full design does not fit the purpose (e.g. positioning on images where there is restricted space to fit the full design, or for sponsorship purposes where the full design is difficult to see on a design).
