I was out till 2 and up till 3 in the morning last night playing darts and drinking rum and stuff with a mate who came out this way for a visit. Then had to be up at 6 to go into Kyogle and get our Cat 1 truck from the local council depot after its annual service. Thankfully I wasn't driving the truck but geeze ... 25 years ago that might have been an option but not these days.

I was trying to keep some nuance when talking about Goodes but I'm going pretty hard on anyone who criticises Linds.

I was playing some Painters & Dockers while doing the kids' breakfast this morning and as a result, my two year old has been running around for the last 10 minutes shouting "I wanna go to nude school! I wanna go to nude school!"

Such a proud parenting moment.

My 3 1/2 year old is at the point she'd be yelling i want to go to (pre-) school nude.

The moral philosopher Cornel West, if Barack Obama’s ascent to power was a morality play, would be the voice of conscience. Rahm Emanuel, a cynical product of the Chicago political machine, would be Satan. Emanuel in the first scene of the play would dangle power, privilege, fame and money before Obama. West would warn Obama that the quality of a life is defined by its moral commitment, that his legacy will be determined by his willingness to defy the cruel assault by the corporate state and the financial elite against the poor and working men and women, and that justice must never be sacrificed on the altar of power.
Perhaps there was never much of a struggle in Obama’s heart....

Have you listened to any of his spoken word albums? I might give them a listen. Interesting fella, like the way his brain works. He comes across as very genuine too. His reaction when Joe played him some Gary Clark Jnr cracked me up. Such a positive mindset.

He is a very genuine, positive person from what I've seen and heard.

Don't know wether people on here are aware, but Barnaby Joyce is really struggling after the last election.

Renumerated well as a minister but now in no man's land sitting on the desolate back-bench his $212,000 a year wage ( + side benefits ) is not enough for him to survive supporting 1 ex wife, 1 new wife and 5 children.
He is down to 1 coffee a day and not dining out amongst a long list of previously affordable luxury's.

Please.......if you have $cash to spare
consider not yourself and your gas bill or little Tommy's new footy boots,
think of someone in need who is down and out after serving his country admirably for a long period.
