He has a point.
Definitely. The same applies now. The way he refers to armed forces as ‘his’ totally exposes his hypocrisy

They all do it mate.
Think of the ego required to get to these positions.

That's the thing with Trump, he does have some very good and worthwhile stances, which he inevitably discredits or ruins through his own mendacity, laziness, ignorance etc.
I remember reading Matt Taibbi in 2015 just after he'd started his rallies, its what got me interested in him and realising that he was a very good chance to beat Clinton.
His stuff about immigration, his flat anti war isolationist stuff, attacking drug companies on prescription medication, all sensible stuff, and playing beautifully to that white working class audience that voted Obama twice and felt let down, and knew Hillary would be even worse.
But then he just stuffs it up- anti war but walks away from a peace treaty with Iran, the best opportunity to remove the need for US forces in the area for 50 years, because of his personal animus toward Obama, which creates the ground for a new and even bigger war.
Definitely. Massive egos and shitloads of adderall
Reckon he just makes up stuff on the fly depending on what mood he’s in.
There's a strong argument that wanting to be President of the United States is an indicator of mental ill-health.
(There's also a strong argument that Trump never genuinely wanted to be President, and was shocked and freaked out when he won.)
There was a book about that, from memory it’s called fire and fury? He just wanted to be the most famous man in the world. Which is why I find it amusing that he doesn’t even have close to the Twitter followers of Obama, he’s at 11. Obama is no 1 hahaha. I know it’s petty but I also know it’d hurt his ego
I know your probably taking the piss, but that is exactly what I am talking about.
They are very impressive to hold. Heavy, fearsome weapons. And all that was required in this part of the world at the time.

I like that John Money's work is still referenced and discussed today - especially those that talk about gender roles and fluidity etc. Anything negative brought up about the Reimer twins is brushed off as "right-wing media bias" and "the antifeminist movement"
Reimer's parents are both adamant that it was Money's work that lead to the death of both their children when they committed suicide.
Amazing really. Swept under the rug in modern times. I do think modern-day Oprah wouldn't touch this with a 50-foot pole.

The useful idiots who repeat the right wing talking points on gender stuff and Greta Thunberg and climate change don't understand how they actively shape a political climate where this kind of thing can become a reality (even though they will oppose it).
