Even I think Jones is a near-complete nut jub and this coming from RWNJ, at least that's what RobZ calls me...:moustache:
Alex Jones in a nut shell
I've got no strings
So I have fun
I'm not tied up to anyone
They've got strings
But you can see
There are no strings on me

This highlights how 2 people can have similar viewpoints on a topic but 1 is labelled a nut job and the other is a genius. Get past the shock value and the entertainment he puts on and he has made some excellent points over his career.

I think Paul Watson and Owen Shroyer are two of the best up and comers in media - both products of Alex Jones.

Interesting.

I wonder what Musk's position is on the following:

Lizard people running the planet
The Illuminate
Michelle Obama being a man
Chemicals being released into the water to make frogs gay, and so on, and on and on and on

Jones is an entertainment crank who is partly responsible for masses of undereducated Seppos believing crazy shit is real. Musk is an eccentric genius whose work is having real world impacts. Don't try to say they are in any way similarly respectable, you do yourself no favours.

Wearing a MAGA hat isn't racist. People can support the president of the United States. Those that oppose him have given it more of a meaning to censor people. It works because people are too afraid to wear in out of fear of being attacked by some lunatic. The issue isn't wearing the hat, the issue is people attacking someone for wearing it.
Is it the wall thing? Just goes to show how bat shit crazy the world has become.

It's just a silly hat.
Ugh. I promised myself I wouldn't get sucked in to this.

Individual 1, aka the Unindicted Co-Conspirator, is racist. He just is. From being found by the court to be implementing unlawfully racist practices as a NY landlord to the Central Park 5 to the Obama birther bullshit to Judge Curriel to the Muslim Travel Ban to Mexicans Are All Rapists And Drug Dealers to Shithole Countries to Very Fine People at a rally where people with flaming torches chanted "Jews will not replace us" and committed vehicular homicide ... he's racist. The sky is blue, *Essendon cheat, Individual 1 is racist.

Now you can feel free to say "sure he's racist but it doesn't matter because he's not repealing the 13th amendment or the Civil Rights Act and I like the tax cuts and the conservative judges and the abortion stuff and the gun stuff" or "sure he's racist and LOL triggered lefties" or "yep he's racist and we need more racism in politics", but "Well actually he's not racist because ..." doesn't pass the laugh test.

Further, I would say that racism is the core of Individual-1-ist politics, what set him apart from boring old-school Republicans and got him to where he is. And that the MAGA hat is a symbol of Individual-1-ism, not of Republicanism as a whole. And so, wearing one is declaring your allegiance to Individual-1-ism, not to regular old conservatism.

Of course it's not a racist act on the scale of actual lynchings or separating brown kids from their families or locking up brown refugees on offshore torture gulags while advocating for white South African farmers to be fast-tracked. But it is one nonetheless.

Spoken like the typical person that refers to sound bites instead of the sum of the parts. If you can't differentiate between what's done for views and shock value vs. actual stuff that says more about you and how much you take from the MSM. I'm glad there are people like Jones in the media because he was one of the first to highlight the hypocrisy during the Covington kid saga. No strings and no political agendas - he's even critical of Joe Rogan and Trump - and rightfully so. It's fine and you can respond with "I'm not going to waste my time entertaining that/watching that etc." (no one cares if you do or don't) but it comes off as ignorant when you refer to snippets that are overstated by people to discredit him and his channel.

You missed the point. Alex Jones make those comments on Joe Rogan and was painted as a nutjob and conspiracy theorist etc. Elon Musk spoke about the exact same thing and "man, elon is so smart. Those points were crazy!"

That has nothing to do with what they have produced in their life and nowhere did I suggest it.

No it just shows that GG is as expert and dedicated a troll on this topic as he is on the subject of Cam Joyce and Tom Campbell. Which I quite enjoy when it's harmless shit like footy so I'm out.

1. The landlord issue: That was Trumps company. One of many. Is bezos responsible for comments made by every company under the umbrella of Amazon? Going back almost half a century to prove he is a racist is clutching at straws. Times were different and people change over time believe it or not.

2. So saying you weren't born in a country makes him a racist? At no point was he suggesting that he was superior to Obama based on that issue.

3. Again, context. He is saying Mexico are sending their worst people. That is not racist. You are using MSM opinion pieces to prove a point. He did not say ALL Mexicans were rapists and drug dealers. He is referring to a subset of the population. Reinforced by the fact that 80% of women have admitted to being r*ped when coming to the border. A damning statistic. It's not racist because he wants to clamp down on illegal immigration.

4. The "muslim ban" is "extreme vetting" if anything. It's something he is well within his rights to do. You do not have to take in immigrants, especially if you feel they don't have the best interests of the US in mind. Sure it might only be a very very small percentage, but again - he's doing what he thinks is correct. You do not have to take in people from other countries. Yes it is the right thing to do but he's always had a US first policy. Fix the US first and then work on helping other countries. I'm not saying it's wrong or right but he has a duty to Americans.

He may be a racist, he may not be (only his closest circle probably truly know) but it's easy to see racist if you don't like him and use agenda-driven media as a source of information.

Jones is off his trolley on a number of issues, with AI I believe he is on the same page although again, crazying it up for shock value. I won’t listen to him though because his moments of clarity are interspersed with Lizard People and Illumiati and Michelle Obama’s penis size tripe. If you find this entertaining then good for you, but he discredits himself as anything credible when he goes there. And he’s dangerous because if this, because people will and do believe the bullshit too. Out there, deranged, stupid crazy bullshit that then becomes part of the narrative of a community with declining standards of education and greater reliance on social media for their ‘news and current affairs’. This is a problem.

And here is another problem. You make an assumption about me, stating that because I can’t differentiate between the views and shock acts of Jones that I take much from the MSM. Are you gonna call me a SJW next? I don’t need to be a hook line and sinker MSM junkie to think Jones is a crank, because he is a crank and I won’t give him the time of day because of the utter shock value bullshit he spews. I prefer my information be gathered from reliable sources, that present a nuanced view attained by looking at multiple perspectives and I try to apply critical thinking to what I am hearing, reading and seeing. Why do you feel the need to deny my ability to think this way because I don’t believe Alex Jones is worth listening to? What else have I said that makes you think I hang on the words of the MSM? Because I disagree with X I must be Y? What is this internet era bullshit way of thinking? This is the main reason why I detest getting into these discussions because it ultimately comes down to sides for some people and why I post less and less on here.

Think big picture:

Twitter is censoring people and banning them. Over meaningless things. Yet if it's pro wishing kids were shot in a school and saying you'll give a blow job to anyone that beats up the Covington kid = no account issues. Joe Rogan interviews Jack Dorsey (twitter). Throws softballs at him because Dorsey is CEO of Square. Square funds Joe Rogan. So no one gets the answers they want. Happy days.

Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 - highlights the issue. These platforms were supposed to be platforms-ONLY and that's why they rose in popularity. They don't face the same issues as other media faces.

Alex Jones was a test case and has been very outspoken against these platforms and google. Peterson, Rubin, and others have been too recently. If you're happy with censorship and centralised entities good ahead, fill your boots. I'm not. I think we deserve our privacy and it's a slippery slope when we start censoring the opinions of popular people just because it goes against the grain or they have different values/beliefs. That's not trolling. That's caring about different issues.

See you just well-actually’d it. Well done you. You win the Most Contrary prize for today.
hey, it's easy to take that stance when someone says something you don't like or points out the pitfall in your viewpoints. Getting people's opinion on Trump and the "all Mexicans are drug dealers and rapists" is one of the quickest ways to determine if someone does their own research or if they are just happy to repeat snippets from the media.

I blame the extensive brainwashing behind the left-right political paradigm.

People are prepared to compromise far too much for the sake of a political "team".

Oh now I see it, you're so clever, the scales have fallen from my eyes, I now agree with everything you've ever said.

The intensified political fervor seemingly came out of nowhere and it has promoted utter derangement in many people, no matter the background.

Is he worse than others in the media that are doxxing kids and threatening violence? That's the issue. The alternative is probably worse at this point in time. If people are too stupid to see what is humour and what is serious that's an entirely different issue in itself. Jones isn't a baby sitter and I'm sure making comments about Michelle Obama, Lizard people, and frogs are hurting anyone - if they are...well again...that says more about intelligence and education not what is being presented.

You can twist it all you like and start pushing that angle, but you are the one that twisted my words to push your POV and try to discredit my point (me comparing two viewpoints = you comparing two people). I never denied your ability you just come forth with the same tired rhetoric that most do. That's not my issue - If you throw up lazy points, expect a lazy response. I can only go off of the information you provide.

As do I but I forgot when some are challenged or don't like what they read their egos can't handle it and they start flipping the script. The reality is you came into a conversation you weren't involved in and misinterpreted my original point - I fail to see how that's my problem?! Now you're throwing the toys out of the pram. I couldn't care less if you post less and less, just please make sure that when you do respond to me you don't twist words. Might save us each a few minutes each.
