Disagree. A lot of the stuff you’re talking about becomes second nature.

I think a lot of it learned and there also some sort of training effect.

The information we get online is very specific and only processed by part of your neurology. You don't process much kinesthetically for example cos you aren't moving the way you do outdoors, especially in an unstable or "natural" environment.

If you've spent years walking on uneven ground then you have neurocircuits that developed to facilitate that, you have much more effective muscle strength in your lower legs because part of their work has been maintaining balance and effective motion on unstable ground. Not to mention the way you'll almost unconsciously observe how you move and where you put your feet.

It's not something you'll develop to the same degree on carpet, tiles and even concrete or ovals.

However building sites can be very uneven or unstable so you would probably develop that set of skills a lot quicker and more effectively than someone working in an office, living in the suburbs and rarely stepping on an unmodified environment. (If they develop them at all. In fact I can imagine the gains people make as kids going away as adults if they are not exposed to enough outdoor activity.)

You're also less likely to observe events in the distance when you go back outdoors cos regularly taking in distant events is something you can't do cos of environmental limitations when you spend a lot of time indoors. As another example.

I read about a Saudi Arabian imam issuing a fatwa (ie a non binding opinion on religious law) banning snowmen in the last decade.

It was via a pommy tabloid so could have been made up.

A wider war is very unlikely, for a host of different reasons I listed before, most of which come back to the two main participants being unable to afford a war.

-Iran is suffering from mass internal protests and political repression. Tehran is under huge fuel and economic strain atm. Russian and Chinese support is nowhere near assured.
-USA, political suicide, economically disastrous for the national debt and militarily draining against a determined enemy. Geostrategically, any ground invasion would further destabilise the ME.

U.S. Unsuccessfully Tried Killing a Second Iranian Military Official
from nytimes.com

Trump said on Friday that a senior Iranian general killed by a U.S. drone strike had been planning attacks on four U.S. embassies, a claim made to justify the decision but that was at odds with intelligence assessments from senior officials in Trump’s administration.

I can reveal that I believe it probably would’ve been four embassies,” Trump said.
But a senior administration official and a senior defense official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss classified information, said they were only aware of vague intelligence about a plot against the embassy in Baghdad and that the information did not suggest a fully formed plot. Neither official said there were threats against multiple embassies.

The senior administration official said that Trump has been fixated on not allowing an attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility, out of fear of being compared unfavorably to his predecessor.
Trump is “totally obsessed with not letting something like Benghazi happen to him,” the official said, referring to the 2012 attack on a U.S. facility in Libya that has achieved totemic status among Trump allies, who see it as evidence of former president Barack Obama’s alleged weakness in the face of terrorism.
The embassy in Baghdad did not receive an alert commensurate to the threat Trump described, said a person familiar with the situation, who was not authorized to comment publicly. When the U.S. government has specific information about threats to embassies, warnings or alerts are often sent to embassy personnel to be vigilant.

Edit- They all had the story about the same time

“Human error” re the Jet
There are some reports that two SAMs were launched. Apparently residents heard two missiles being launched from their airbase. If that's the case, it takes it from accidental to intentional.
