Comical, lets all stick to wild football speculation and leave the politics aside. Trump will NOT be impeached, Sanders has Zero chance, and Mike Bloomberg is the only realistic chance of toppling Trump. End of Story.

Trump's already been impeached.

“If you’re in the Peninsula, right off highway 101 there’s an exit called Willow Road. And on Willow Road you’ll find the Facebook headquarters. And at Facebook, there are neuroscientists currently being paid a lot of money quite literally to addict our children to their applications. And not far from the Facebook headquarters, there are neuroscientists working on how to cure dementia, and how to cure some of the most intractable diseases that affect our society. The people who are working at Facebook addicting our children to their applications make much more money than the people who are attempting to cure our society of its worst diseases, and I think this question about whether we should have an industrial policy ultimately reduces to the question of, Do you think our politics should have an answer about whether it is more valuable to cure our grandchildren than to addict them to terrible applications? And I think the answer is obviously yes.”

That article was very good. Cheers.

They've set up plans for recovery long term. There's only so much that can be done now and even though it would feel wonderful to say hey congrats for losing your town here's 10 mil, without direction it's all going to be wasted.

It's not like they're hoarding the money and banking interest either.

This is all just spin by the government. Hey look over there!

People are struggling tho. There are 20 people living in the Cobargo fire shed, or were last week, with nothing. For example.

I know it's not easy to sort the logistics of this stuff but when people have lost everything, have nothing and are stuck in limbo, waiting for the opportunity to get on with their lives then they'll complain at every opportunity. Especially if they hear about all the money that's supposedly waiting for them. They literally have nothing else to do or own at that point.

I'm glad I'm not responsible for distributing it.

Jokes aside, does the fact the pigs are just as emotionally deep as dogs and as smart, if not smarter then dogs change how you feel about eating them?

Must admit since I’ve seen petrified pigs about to be slaughtered I’m a bit torn. To put it into context I didn’t grow up farming but had uncles with farms and was taught how to slaughter sheep, cows & emus from a very young age. I was taught and believe if you can’t take an animals life then you aren’t worthy to consume an animal.

But I was never exposed to slaughtering an animal that knew it was coming. Since I saw the footage of a pig that knew it was about to be killed I haven’t enjoyed pork as much. #high thoughts

Did you ever see that footage from Indonesia. The stuff animal activists got that threatened the live cattle trade?

They killed and butchered 100 cows (more than 30 anyway) in a big shed. One after the other in front of each other.

The last cow they killed was shaking and quivering with fear. It was ****ed. It was like watching someone about to be murdered.

I've never felt so sorry for an animal.

And I can look something in the eye, shoot in the head and then butcher it without a qualm. But letting it know what's coming first is disgraceful.

Just to keep the randomness of the thread moving forward, I had my specialist visit today and got to see my scans and the damage that was done. I don't have any physical symptoms, so have been fairly blase about it.

Was taken aback when he told me it was a quite a big stoke and he put it down to stress. FFS that actually on top of being told it was a decent 'hit' stressed me further. So it's like I'm living in a loop. Is it a concern when I left the specialist patted me on the back and told me to look after myself?

Buddhist temple here I come.

Anyway here's a pic of the scan for those interested. I now need to see a Neuro-psychologist for rehab. The two white spots on the left is the damaged section.

Nice looking brain though, maybe a tad small :p But not the first time I've heard that ( eyes rolled)

I do know that in part I dodged a bullet and am lucky to be here, so I suppose onward and upward. Make every post a winner peeps. Take nothing for granted.
