See, you're engaging in the same behaviour you criticise, ignoring reliability of a source of it sounds right to you.

I'm of the opinion that the 97 number that's been bandied about is a political and marketing tool used to encourage taking action on climate change.

I'm also of the opinion that even at a lower band of 80% that's still a pretty good consensus of experts.

I know you've made your mind up and I've also decided which kind of world I want to raise my family in but think before you criticise sources that you don't agree with when your own sources in return are even less credible- you end up sounding like a dishonest troll being contrarian for the sake of it.

1) The data. Do you have anything about "the data"?
2) "Consensus" is consistently abused by non scientific interests.

Here's the thing, I haven't, you have!

I never said that

So tell me what your thoughts are on
1- the effect humanity is having on this planet's ability to host us comfortably?
2- Is human action to mitigate any possible man made climate change cause for concern? If so, why?

1- can you clarify what "data" you wish me to provide? Did you read the Forbes article I posted?
2- consensus can be abused yes but it can also be a fact.

Come again?

Re:

When put in the context of this exchange, then you clearly have.

So tell me what your thoughts are on
1- the effect humanity is having on this planet's ability to host us comfortably?

The planet doesn't give two ****s about modifying itself to host us. We are a random evolutionary happening, because we adapted to the planet.

2- Is human action to mitigate any possible man made climate change cause for concern? If so, why?

Your question is wide open for a myriad of interpretations.

Should humans take the necessary steps to ensure the ecological integrity of the planet, based upon good scientific analysis, and as best as we can?

Yes. This would be the intelligent thing to do.

1- can you clarify what "data" you wish me to provide? Did you read the Forbes article I posted?

You shouldn't bother. There are no definitive climate prediction models in existence.

2- consensus can be abused yes but it can also be a fact.

Within its prescribed parameters.

Hey snake slightly off topic but can you tell me the carbon footprint of making a car vs running it?

Nope, and I doubt automotive builders would be in the business of calculating that.

I highly suspect there's a lot more CO2 output after the thing is built and running.

How long would the weather records be deemed reliable Gaso?

Why did you claim statistics of 7/10 from 123?

Here's the BOM tool...plenty of measurements to play around with, but the trend appears that the last 20 years hotter, warmer, less rain.

123 years because my Maths as basic as they are point to 123 years since the VFL/AFL was created with 1996 being 100 years ago

Works well for other subjects as well.

People are busy making a living and news is convenient.

Hiowever, we now live in an age where people can be a lot more selective. Failure to do so is basically a factor of intelligence or laziness.

Great idea and kudos.

But, what are we actually expecting here...shitz and giggles like the Whitten Match/AFLX or a warmish hot go?
