Judge Liz Gaynor today when sentencing two young chaps over the stabbing of one T. Mokbel in Barwon prison.
Doesn't hold back.

BLM are blaming institutionalised racism.
You’re incorrect in claiming they are placing sole responsibility on Trump.
And again, antifa is a footnote. Don’t play in to it.
You obviously share a dim view of US democracy like most of us do judging by your last sentence. That dystopia has started playing out.

I just want to say that the police here are just as capable of brutality as their American counterparts. We've seen it often enough. The city where Floyd was killed was the same city where that Australian lady called the police to report a rape in progress, she came out to speak to the police and she was shot dead, the officer was black. Was that institutionalised racism or was that person just not fit to be a police officer?
I do not envy the police, they have a very different relationship with the public than in most other western countries, they need to reform the police but they have major issues when it comes to how people interact with police (whites as well as blacks). The vast majority of videos I see of police brutality is usually an arse-kicking that comes after someone was resisting arrest, someone who knows their rights and is beligerent and in some cases are violent with the police. I think if Australians or Europeans behaved in the same manner to the same extent we would see the Police changes how they acted with the public. 106 police officers died last year in the USA, 55 were feloniously killed in the line of duty at an average age of 37. If we gunned down that many police here how long before we started to get an arse kicking?
Their society has a problem with violence, it is why they want to hold on to their guns because when the shit hits the fan the police wont be there. Nobody in Australia needs a gun to defend themselves.
I didn't say sole, but people lost their shit when he said he was bringing in the military to stop the destruction. What do people expect when the state governors just sat back and did nothing?
You think Antifa aren't the ones behind the violence? So you think that is just the Floyd protestors? That is interesting.
I don't think that is how it will pan out. We are just seeing the part-time military deployed as a show of force, if he stars to deploy the marines then you know he has an intent to put down protestors with deadly force.
Have you seen Demolition Man?
It seems to me people want police to act like they do in that. It's not going to work while we have a system that pushes the have nots down so hard.
Tas institutionalised racism is embedded; one edge case can’t refute this analysis.

Don't they commit much more crimes? The Dems played identity politics ages ago..
here’s some damning stats,
The number of police killings in the US disproportionately affects African Americans. Despite only making up 13 percent of the US population, Black Americans are two-and-a-half times as likely as white Americans to be killed by the police.
Unsurprisingly, the three largest states - California, Texas and Florida - have the highest total number of killings of Black people by police officers. Once these figures are adjusted for the population size and demographics, in nearly every state, African Americans face a significantly higher risk of being killed by police officers than white Americans.
In Utah, the African Americans comprise just 1.06 percent of the population but they accounted for 10 percent of police killings over the past seven years - a disproportional rate of 9.21 times. In Minnesota, Black Americans are nearly four times as likely to be killed by law enforcement, with Black victims comprising 20 percent of those killed, despite comprising only 5 percent of the overall population.
