It's shocking.

I'm going to re introduce myself to my wife at the end of this. She heads to the other living room to watch the Masked Singer and the Batchy.

Covid riddled drivel......reckon the farmers from 7 should get a look in as the handsome bloke discards 'em 👍

Spent a pneumonia riddled winter in Wuppertal with mum staying with my uncle in '79 👍. Mum originally from Wilhelmshaven. Beautiful little city.

Looks fantastic. Now on my list of places to go in the next northern summer (June/July). I'm expecting we'll be allowed to go by then.

i love german cities, so clean and orderly, and their beer and food just add to the appeal. the week i was in berlin for carnaval of culture was a fantastic weekend. 20 odd floats traveling around with different bands on them, all playing well into the night, and scores of beer and food tents along the route.

I was in grade 4 and remember getting in trouble at school. I told the Headmaster he couldn't tell me off as it was the International Year of the Child. He laughed at me and sent me away 🙃

I love Germany too. My wife and daughter speak German and moving there in the next few years is definitely on the cards. Online work makes it a realistic option. Even not speaking the language, it is far more "liveable" than our over-hyped, over-regulated, disappointing city.

Would miss family, friends and footy (not necessarily in that order), of course.

Big move L.T.K. Reckon my twilight years will be spent close to the 38th parallel. Jeju my personal choice.

when i first went to germany i was amazed they had beer vending machines in public places. this so for many reasons would never happen in australia.

Ended up camping at Thalkirken near Munich, and OMG a vending machine with Lowenbrau. Never had I had sooo much joy in pockets of coins 🙃

have personally given that particular machine at thalkirkin a bit of a touch up on many occasions, remember the call from the kiosk when they were about to close, everyone would hit the cashier to load up on coins so they could continue drinking well after the kiosk closed. there is a ripping little pop up bar half way along the walking track back to the ubahn as well that opens up arvos to late, still remember the massive grin on my late mate benny standing in the vending machine cue with euro coins in hand waiting for his turn to be surved by what he called " the barman that never complains" .

I must have been there a long time ago, I used to love the sound of jingling Deutschmarks 🙃

The lack of an adult educated population, and the implementation of a nanny state?

Simple solution - move to Munich and make sure you have a big enough place to accommodate guests. I can assure you you'll get plenty of visitors from the old country every September. Well, at least one. And you can always go and watch the local footy team - the mighty Munich Kangaroos.

SEATTLE — Law enforcement agents shot and killed an antifa supporter on Thursday as they moved to arrest him in the fatal shooting of a right-wing activist who was part of a pro-Trump caravan in Portland, Ore., officials said.
The suspect, Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, was shot by officers from a federal fugitive task force during the encounter in Lacey, Wash., southwest of Seattle, according to four law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation.
Lt. Ray Brady of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said in an interview that the law enforcement team was in the area looking for a homicide suspect — he could not confirm it was Mr. Reinoehl — and that the suspect exited an apartment and got into a vehicle.
“As they attempted to apprehend him, there was gunfire,” Lieutenant Brady said. He said four law enforcement officers fired their weapons.

Did I ever tell you about the time I played a game for the Munich Kangaroos when I was visiting one year?
