Yeah, I would definitely stay away from Quebec right now goalieboy82 - consistently Canada's highest caseload province since this began, followed closely by Ontario. Speaking of Ontario, one of the unexpected surprises to come out of Covid is to see how well ex-Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's (now deceased, but I'm sure some will recall his criminal links and drug-fueled antics that put Toronto/Canada on the US prime time news/late night talk show circuit for a while) brother Doug has done as Ontario Premier. He was looking to be just a two-dimensional, conservative, paler version of his brother, but Covid has shown him make a character arc that is often times hilarious (he speaks to his constituents about Covid rules like an exasperated father would to a teenager who breaks curfew) and pleasantly morally solid for the most part. It's been a pleasant Covid surprise to watch.

Anyways, beers - if anyone comes to Canada in Winter, our local Granville Island Winter Ale is a must. Easily the best Winter Ale I've ever had. Lovely smooth flavour, no bitterness. Haven't found anything here remotely as good as this one.

For other obvious reasons, I'm also a fan of "The Pod Pack". 4 beers from the Vancouver Island Brewing Company, with each can named after one of our Southern Resident Orcas. The whale on each can design even has saddle and eye patches that match the whale it's named after. All proceeds from this beer go to helping preserve our Southern Resident Orcas. Win win!:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Define properly? Its synthetically brewed. In other words a heap of chemicals are added to "enhance" the process so it flies through the batch in under 48 hours. Hence the jackhammer headaches the accompony a session drinking it.

Can you outline which chemicals result in these headaches?*

* Yes, it is a trap.

Speaking of our Orcas, we had good news this year, of 2 births within a couple weeks of each other this year. And even more exciting is that the most recent birth was to J35 - the Orca known as Tahlequah. In 2018 Tahlequah's calf died, and she carried her body buoyed on her nose above water for 17 days, and over 1,000 miles.

There's been 4 births now in total since 2019, for a total of 74 Orcas making up our Southern Resident pods. Good news for a species that used to number well over 300.

It’s going to get a whole lot worse over there. Macron said he is going to liberate Islam from the oppressive scholars..

Theres a lot of history there.

Egypt put on a show of military force and it’s probably the gayest thing I’ve seen this year

It's probably as close as an islamic country can get.

I’ve been to a couple of national day parades in the Middle East. They’re bizarre events, people are dancing around the streets. Heaps of people rammed into cars, driving around like lunatics. On the outside they remind me of Summernats minus the grog. They’re actually a lot of fun.

The parade is a show of force to their neighbours.

Although the above takes the cake... that is fantastic!

Is Trump not a w@nker?

Absolutely, the overiding point is that the people invested in that seem to have selective blindness when it comes to the cretins in opposition.

Surely wearing MAGA gear is the height of selective blindness, no?

That aside, John Lydon is a legend and a treasure.

hahaha, they look like the police force.. they all seem to March together on those things.

also governments over there tend to balance power, by having a militant police force, in case an army general attempts to overthrow the ruling party.
They’re certainly not stupid.

Make XXXXX great again? Have you brought in to the political group think psychology that was designed to dismantle this by associating with every abhorrence on the planet?

1) It's a ****ing hat.
2) It alludes to getting a country back on track in the eyes of it's a political party. Basically 1950-60's mon & apple pie crap.
3) It's not even CLOSELY related to swastikas etc.

The major opposing aspect of the MAGA thing is that it neutralises ideological impostors who make careers out of being irrationally offended!!!

If that truly offends you, then I suggest you look around a bit more and open your eyes.
