Just to keep the randomness of the thread moving forward, I had my specialist visit today and got to see my scans and the damage that was done. I don't have any physical symptoms, so have been fairly blase about it.

Was taken aback when he told me it was a quite a big stoke and he put it down to stress. FFS that actually on top of being told it was a decent 'hit' stressed me further. So it's like I'm living in a loop. Is it a concern when I left the specialist patted me on the back and told me to look after myself?

Buddhist temple here I come.

Anyway here's a pic of the scan for those interested. I now need to see a Neuro-psychologist for rehab. The two white spots on the left is the damaged section.

Nice looking brain though, maybe a tad small :p But not the first time I've heard that ( eyes rolled)

I do know that in part I dodged a bullet and am lucky to be here, so I suppose onward and upward. Make every post a winner peeps. Take nothing for granted.

Appears they don't want her either.

she was quoted as saying "I see no difference between your struggle and the struggle I have fighting for the liberation of Oromo," . Or the struggle of the sherrifs department to recover the half a mill she earned in fraudulent activity!

Wait, are you talking just payload? Or delivery as well?
well delivery is a good point, the aircraft delivering this massive conventional bomb would have to have advanced quite a bit. but i was just referring to the payload. similar to projectiles, 2 of the most common calibers of bullets are over 100 years old as well,
examples, the 30-06 and .22lr .

I think you’re missing a whole subset of weapons.. cruise missiles, esp when mixed with tactical nukes. Which makes the concept of nuclear war very real.
We’ve shifted from a world of assured Mutual destruction to limited fallout.
Btw Obama spent two trillion on this tech. They’ll need to demonstrate its effectiveness at some point.

I’m glad you’re ok TAO, it’s good to have your input around here.

I'm pretty sure that I heard this right, Freo players are going into " daycare" centres in their local area to see the kids " babies and toddlers" I would think, these kids will then all be given a Freo membership.
Recruiting them young🤣🤣

Snake_Baker i know you weren’t a fan of the last podcast I shared but I think this is right up your ally. Once they get into Bretts biology studies it’s pretty awesome

All of our Mice are Broken. On this episode of The Portal, Bret and Eric sit down alone with each other for the first time in public. There was no plan.
There was however, a remarkable story of science at its both best and worst that had not been told in years. After an initial tussle, we dusted off the cobwebs and decided to reconstruct it raw and share it with you, our Portal audience, for the first time. I don't think it will be the last as we are now again looking for our old notes to tighten it up for the next telling. We hope you find it interesting, and that it inspires you younger and less established scientists to tell your stories using this new medium of long form podcasting. We hope the next place you hear this story will be in a biology department seminar room in perhaps Cambridge, Chicago, Princeton, the Bay Area or elsewhere. Until then, be well and have a listen to this initial and raw version.
