Hey guys, a bit off topic here. I am looking at buying a 4x4 Dual cab ute. Was all set to buy a Wildtrak but after speaking to someone who knows a Ford fleet manager over the weekend, I am having second thoughts. I don't want a Hilux. I like the Amarok but doesn't have Airbags in the back and I have a small boy. Am now leaning towards a Nissan Navara.

Any suggestions or advice appreciated

What’d your mate say that gave you second thoughts on the Wildtrak nicko? I’d love next year’s Raptor V8. Had a close look at the Nissans pre Xmas and they look good and, from my chat with a contact there, are cheap to run and don’t have expensive issues many of the Euro SUV’s have over time.

its a Random Chat thread, impossible to be off topic.

No mention of the Mazda BT50? Shame, shame on you! A mate just got one and he loves it.

A Ford Fleet manager told him to get rid of your Rangers before 100,000 km's as they are prone to gearbox issues

My neighbor has the Amarok, he has had it back to the dealer 5 or 6 times for a known gear box fault. They won’t admit the issue , but he checked online and there’s other owners with the same problem. I can’t print what he thinks of the car!!

the betoota advecate were able to quote what was said
A NSW firefighter has delivered a blunt message to the Australian Prime Minister while driving to tend to a bushfire yesterday afternoon.

The firefighter, who identified himself as Paul Parker from Nelligen on the state’s south coast, pulled over his fire truck to speak briefly with the media on Saturday, hoping they could pass on a message to Scott Morrison.

“You from the media?” Mr Parker asks the 7News crew.

“Tell the prime minister to go [pat himself on the back for all the hard work he has been doing for us in the RFS and the rural towns we are fighting day and night to save from bushfires. He was more than entitled to a pre-Christmas holiday and he has more than delivered for us as a nation, as a people, since he came home. Much love..] from Nelligen,” Mr Parker shouts at the camera.

“We really enjoy doing this shit” an extended version of the footage, before giving a thumbs-up and driving off.

No disrespect to any of these efforts. It’s all very necessary and welcome. However, the intervention by Celeste Barber has really consigned everything else well and truly into the shade.

The one issue I have is hers is only for the RFS in NSW.
