While this sounds like a good thing and a moral thing, it simply doesn't work well when the government gets involved in either of these.

The only way to effectively deliver health care is government involvement.

Go directly to the scientific literature itself.

The scientific "fact" is that there is not enough quality data available to make any significant finding that supports mainstream climate hysterics or denialism.

Scientific fact:

Climate change makes any given bushfire worse.

Source:

First law of thermodynamics.

End of story.

I remember that at the time but now it seems so much more full on.

Mid 1980s Tyson was utterly terrifying, but his image was also hooked into all the racist shit coming out of the US about black men tied up with the crack epidemic though. He was presented in that light.

I remember when he won the world title as a teenage kid. His story was presented a bit like Rocky. Hard life raised himself up, trainer mentored him then died just before he made it.

And he was a ****en monster in the ring.

The US hated the idea of powerful black men being champion of the world.

There is an element that still does.

When he was taken to the gym and they didn’t believe that he was only 16 so they put him up against men. Didn’t matter though. He still has them all covered.

He’s still got that quick 3/4 punch combo that would knock out just about anyone too. There was a clip of him showing someone in a pub recently. I’ll try to find it.

They didn't mind Tyson, he wasn't Ali calling the government racist and throwing Olympic medals off a bridge, refusing to serve in Vietnam.

Tyson came out of where, Brownsville, Bed-Stuy, somewhere like that when the crack epidemic was in full swing, New York had 2000 odd murders a year, he was playing an identifiable role - the buck crazy wildin' young street en eye double gee ay - that American society understood and didn't challenge them.

That's why NOBODY was surprised when he went to jail - he was MEANT to go to jail. Cassius Clay casting off his slave name, converting to Islam, doing two years or whatever it was, abandoning his world title, that challenged the white ruling identity.

No he wasn't political. None the less see what I bolded in your post...

Because America does hate powerful black men.

Ali was Nat Turner, Tyson was Stagger Lee.

America hates/hated them both.

This is the podcast if anyone cares to listen

Apologies for spamming you all with podcasts, but they’re way better then the radio

It's not bullshit but there are a couple of minor errors.

Back burning is when you burn back into the fire from the front not the back of it. The idea is to burn the fuel, and if you get it right, use up the oxygen as the back burn meets the fire front.

Environmental Impact Statements could be considered a form of green tape. But they are not required for HR burns (in NSW anyway.) That is the closest I can think of for any argument to blame the greens.

It makes some very good points too, specifically about the fact that HR burns can cause real problems if they happen too close to fire seasons. They create more hazard than they remove if they get to hot, too intense or the flame heights get too high.

Everything else is actually stuff I've said on this website since before this fire season.

It's a good illustration of propaganda. It may be propaganda in itself but only minor propaganda.

A bit like the old saying about pro drug propaganda. The other side is so rapid in its anti drug propaganda that even a reasonable statement of fact begins to sound like pro drug propaganda.

Where do you find the other side?
You can start of with a number of political commentators from the other side, Dinesh Desouza provides interesting content, Pragaru is one to check out, and of course Ben Shapiro provides very strong arguments.i cant say i agree with everything that they say, but they all look to back up their content with factual information. Check them out if you like.

That's an interesting opinion, why do you say that?

Because we tried the other way and it didn't work, which is why government got involved in the first place.

It is why say, it was the generation that fought WWII that brought public health systems in the UK and here.

I should say I'm predicating these responses on you not being a sociopath benbanjo

If you honestly don't think you should pay a single cent for any healthcare at all except what you yourself use/may use, then OK, I get where you're coming from and frankly that kind of attitude disgusts me.

Brother, Dinesh Desouza? Shapiro? You don’t think I have watched or listened to them? I give you the intercept and Chomsky and you reply with those guys?

The electronic jamming coming from an unknown source meant that the air defense system was placed on manual operation, relying on human intervention to launch. The human role meant that an operator had to make a quick judgment in a pressure situation in which he had only moments to react. The shutdown of the transponder, which would have automatically signaled to the operator and Tor electronics that the plane was civilian, instead automatically indicated that it was hostile. The operator, having been particularly briefed on the possibility of incoming American cruise missiles, then fired.

As I said previously, im just interested...
