Vote 1 McAfee!!

Here's the thing with libertarianism. When WE are given the rights and power, it becomes in our best interest to mutually promote and respect them.

It's obvious as to why political parties absolutely despise the philosophy. THEY lose certain powers to CONTROL.

This a a federal police issue.

Example: It becomes an ASIO issue if drug importation is being committed by islamic jihadists with a view to finance social carnage in Australia.
At present ASIO is more likely to put Jihadist in contact with Australian dealers to fund war OS..

But ASIO is the org that deals with the limited oversight. Receiving Intel from a disgraced lawyer is right up their ally.
they can then pass that info onto the feds/state. Who can go about building a case prosecuting. The feds/state coppers can’t be involved in that sort of intel. As we can see now..

McAfee points out, libertarians will probably never get into power, well apart from trump.

but they can mock current state of affairs, don’t take what they’ve said literally and explore the under tones.

as much as I don’t like trump, he is mocking the current establishment brilliantly.

Trump is not a libertarian mate.

However, in relation to Morrison or Albanese, he most certainly is more libertarian.

Anyway, seeing as you have mentioned the "T" word, our discussion on libertarianism is effectively over, as it's sure to attract a tidal wave of inane, tabloid crap.

would you consider roger stone a libertarian?
how about Roy Cohn?
Rand Paul?

I don't want to get in to contemporary U.S. political examples as it attracts the generic binary discussions.

I'd rather focus on the philosophy itself.

Coronavirus now declared a World Emergency, but still we allow flights from China in, pretty sure the Pom's barred 'em a while back, but ScoMo says don't panic, we are well prepared, in some places, you can buy a face mask

Be careful mate. You'll get labeled a racist.

I get it, and I get the conversation will eventually get into weird contradictions but you can’t deny these guys believe they’re full blooded anarcho capitalist Libertarians.

No single person encompasses libertarianism.

I would agree that they are more libertarian than the norm.

The Swiss Bill of Rights would be the most libertarian document on the planet.

Complete dyslexia on my part.

I figured that mate, but I just wanted to clarify.

For all I know, there is some "AISO" that's relevant to the discussion.

Ponder for a moment how China would handle their immigration protocol if a contagious virus had originated in Australia?

What do you think the result will be Sanke? Do you think anyone else will get out?

The Age ran an entirely unattributed piece about Mokbel "threatening to kill" Purana detectives and becoming "erratic".

They are preparing the ground for him being let out.

Although they probably should be rebranded.. Intel comes before security. :p

ASIO has been passing on criminal intelligence that it picks up in its VERY extensive suveillance, since at least 2005-2006.

This is another way in which the legal system gathers information whilst circumventing so called "privacy rights". ASIO doesn't need warrants for a lot of stuff.

Russia has closed their border.

If Australia cuts flights, the economic impact will be massive, this is what happens when you allow your country to be sold out.

Another fun fact, it was OZ who pointed out to the yanks that next to most US embassies around the world theyve got a Vodafone tower.
they were very blasé about the whole thing but freaked when they realised most of their phones were connecting to Huawei devices first.
