Basically disenfranchisement, which leads to search of sense of purpose.
if you can replace the sense purpose with another you can instil extremism. Very simplistic..

There is NO difference between a pissed off disenfranchised kid in Clichy-Sous-Bois who fights for Daesh and one from Scottsdale Arziona who joins some Atomwaffen white nationalist thing.

None.

Margaret Court displaying how blind religious people are to their own hypocrisy when pointing their perceived faults in others.

2 quotes from Court-
Navratilova “a great player” but thought it was “very sad for children to be exposed to homosexuality”.
then
“I always got on quite well with John McEnroe. I always thought we got on and I’ve always respected him,” Court said.
“I feel sorry for him that he can’t separate one part of life to another.”

She sadly claims she is a victim of discrimination when in fact she is a victim of her own hypocrisy.

Court's religious opinions have no bearing on her greatness as a tennis player, and the calls for "cancel culture" to eradicate her tennis icon status are even more extremist than Court's religious opinions.

One side is religious dogma, the other is political thuggery.

100% agree with this.
One of the worst side effects is the study of this behaviour and playing catch ups in the field, the Russians started a game called Baleia Azul or blue whale challenge, to see how quickly they could find extremists.
Let’s just say it had horrific consequences and they had trouble putting the genie back in the bottle.

agreed, my commentary is specifically based on her commentary and takes nothing away from her impressive grand slam record.

If anyone’s following the us elections.. this is very interesting in the light of the Russian hysteria.

Whitney Webb did an interesting piece on the topic a couple of weeks ago.

We should have our own devils chessboard thread to discuss politics...

The most fascinating aspect for me is the people who delve in to it seriously.

It's a charade.

In the light of today’s topic of the disenfranchised,
Buttigieg breaks out in his best my chemical romance voice. ”I hope this means something to people who are different, people who don't know if they belong"

I wonder who’s advising him. Would the real Pete buttigieg please stand up..

I’ll give politics in here a break for a bit.

Just having a read back through the thread and noticed libertarianism getting a mention.

Reminded me of an interesting quote I happened across a few days ago.....

On a side note. disenfranchised youth and replacing ideology is why some people are up in arms about Greta being the voice of science.

Ahem.

I think you meant to say 'Nobel Peace Prize nominee' Greta.

On the flip side it's also why so many follow her and think she's going to save humanity!

You won't be able to keep the act up long mate.

It’s the biggest show in town, and the Americans have morphed it into the tribal nature of supporting sports teams.

One gigantic soap opera.

What act? I'm not here for games or some bullshit. I only ducked in to see what was going on in the other thread. It's not like it's some great hidden secret trying to trick people. Clear as day.

Fair enough.

Yep.

Just another way of saying "It's all about me and **** the rest."

He's pretty good the old George.

No bullshit, straight to the bone.

Despised government and was actually a libertarian himself.

His context relates to the throw away use of the term in relation to U.S. republicans, who aren't a libertarians boot lace. The politically educated usually pick up on this.

Yeah, check it up mate. :thumbsu:

The term is badly abused, as is anarchism with regard to clearly left wing statist movements, which is truly an absurd proposition.

Refer to the good political philosophy literature.

life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness was stolen from the French and written into the US bill of rights.

It’s why libertinism resonates with Americans, problem is so many self centred people believe my rights are more important than yours.
