On a slightly related note, I normal abhor our countries obsession with including a token yank in everything. Movies, shows, coverage etc.

However you watch the tennis and hear Zempilas or Hamish fumbling about (admittedly Hamish is Richie Benaud compared to the other prick) and it's a relief to hear Jim Courier bring a semblance of a brain cell to the coverage.

Courier used to be a bore but he has gotten better every year and is a godsend on that coverage.

He was pretty unlikeable as a player. Came across like he'd be a knob.

I was surprised how calm and intelligent he has proven to be as commentator.

In terms of personality, I'm happy to let the action provide any colour and prefer someone like a Courier or Daisy Pearce (who's also copped it for being 'monotone') who can stay on topic.
