A priest, an imam and a rabbit walk into a bar.

‘What do you feel like?’ The bartender asks.

The priest says, ‘A beer.’
The imam says, ‘A water.’
The rabbit says, ‘A typo.’

Sanders is now demonstrating that at the end of the day he’s no more than a useful tool to attract progressive votes for the party establishment.

Same with AOC.

A few talking points. A few speeches with a lot of finger pointing and wailing at republicans.

But nothing substantial.

Like actually voting against corporate bailouts manufactured by a democratic house.

Like holding Biden to the same standards of others accused of rape during the Me Too salad days.

Like acknowledging that Biden has dementia and has no chance of defeating Trump.

Like acknowledging that the Democrats hold balance of power in the house and that the Pelosi led party is to the right of Trump on economic policy during the pandemic.
AOC is vey young within the context of politics.

That she drives the fundamentalist conservatives nuts is a credit to her.

She will be around for a long, long time to come.

And more power to her.

Unless she gets out soon, she'll end up completely compromised.

Many centrist machine politicians started off as young firebrands.

That's what the system is there to do, chew people up and push them to the centre.

LOL but would not be surprised if she picked up some of the marketing budget for it..
Yeah, I smell some sort of Scott Camm(paigner)-style government funded ambassador arrangement. The going rate is about 100 large per Tweet/Insta post. Good money if you can get it.

What do you make of her selling out on Bernie and also selling out by being part of the coronavirus package that only made the gap between the extremely rich and working class greater? I’m pretty disappointed in her tbh.

Not ideal. But she obviously figures being in the tent is where she can get more done.

At the end of the day, Bernie actually achieved nothing in his bids to be president. Good on him for trying, but the establishment was too powerful. I hope AOC can go one better if she decides to give it a go.

But I suspect she will be around for a long time to come.

:tearsofjoy:

Virtue signaling racket exposed. Bolt trolls the idiots again.

I watched the show, it wasn't a huge surprise, I knew the major investors into green energy were billionaires and fossil fuel companies, what was a surprise to me was the extent of the biofuel being used, and that is essentially strip mining forests instead of coal.

I think for solar panels it would help to know the CO2 footprint of each panel and how long it would need to operate to offset using fossil fuels instead. I think the show lacked clarity on that, some of the oldest commercial panels are 30 years old and still working better than expected, some of the oldest panels made are more than 60 years old and still functional. New panels are significantly better than the older panels.

I do think everyone should see the documentary, it is important people realise the challenges of capturing diffused energy.

I do think there needs to be a serious consideration given to nuclear power.

The greenies & liberals have INFESTED politics, so of course they are getting in on the tax payer gang bang with the usual corporate leeches, which is effectively what this movie is about anyway mate.

There’s your answer. Just another politician

Rebecca Judd can lecture me about the weather, and that'll about all I'll cop. I have a degree in IT and I write software for a living, so I'll make my own decisions on this, and I'm not downloading the thing until I'm forced to. Time and again the Government has made insecure and unreliable IT projects. I don't expect a rushed mobile app that isn't even fully developed yet to be any different.

+1

And then there is Spud Dutton and Christian Porter just waiting to use the information.

There is a trust deficit there that for me that only a federal ICAC, independent of government that reports to the parliament might get it back.

Still don’t understand why they didn’t adopt apple and Android APIs, they’ll be here before this stupid app actually gets up and ruining anyway.

I think her ghost-written family and wellness books are essential reading for all prospective parents though, along with Kyly Clarke's book of inspirational quotes.
