I'm against those who absolutely do the wrong thing to vulnerable fellow humans. In a lot of cases, it's cops in the US - this whole disaster has illustrated how high is the number of shit humans in the police ranks in the US. But I'm not against all US cops because they don't all engage in poor behaviour.

It is systemic and that is why the reaction seems to be all or nothing. I also believe violence move faster through news and social media. There is good stuff happening between protestors and cops but it doesn't have the same cut through.

Being systemic also completely defeats any sort of bad apple argument. Bad apples is bullshit. The system is and continues to be broken.

It not just cops, it's politics, taxes, wealth distribution, racism, historic ills not paid for, unemployment, lockdown fatigue, Healthcare, prioritization of profit over people.

It's a mess and people pointing at anyone one group saying they're pushing their agenda, of course they are. It doesn't make them wrong and the other side right.

And IMO it's not tangibly going to change without prolonged civil unrest due to the wealth in the ruling class.

I hear ya, but this is he old "good nazi" argument. Sure, there were decent honorable men in the Wermacht caught up in accidents of geography and birth.

That doesn't mean we let the rest of them, or abjure the whole institution.

US police are utterly cooked and the few good apples have to go down with the rest, unless they lead the change.

Problem is this all starts with philosophy, unless they have a meaningful alternative, it’s going to end badly for you.

And no Antifa isn’t a viable alternative, even thou the threat is wildly overblown, the philosophy behind it is communist/Marxist.
