Wtf is that editing
It cuts between the shot and the bloody foot.. I can't figure out what they'd need to edit if it was real.

Also the comments under it in twitter are disappointing as expected.
yeah, saw it on the phone but with a closer view looks fake.

What does that have to do with learning how to think properly?

Critical theory is politically independent. It's application to situations is what has all you alt lite types so upset.

It's like builders refusing to use hammers cos someone used one in a bank robbery.

Although the use of critical theory to examine things isn't quite the same as liberating capital from its jailers.
Have you ever read Christopher Lasch?
he’s basically panned in a lot of classrooms now, for obvious reasons but he was right on the money on a few topics re globalisation, mega wealthy no longer citizens they’ve become tourists in society.
He’s got an interesting book called The Revolt of the Elites: And the Betrayal of Democracy..
the only reason I add this is he was very critical of critical theory. He basically was about warning people of the past, as we’re doomed to repeat it if we don’t, and here we are the industrialists vs nationalists again, and same old story both are owned by the banks.

Nothing extra terrestrial, judging by the comments.
If that's one of those glowing orb things they have been posted online nor since before YouTube started. I dunno if they are real or fake, and if they are real what they are but they have been around for a long time.

FWIW. I saw something very similar over Melbourne in 1994.

We just had 2 weeks of militarised police led by an authoritarian president crushing dissent. That was real world. Not theoretical musings that Peterson hadn’t read in 20 years.
Didn't Saddam gas his own people as well?

I have actually and some of what he said was right on the ... er ... money.

I actually would have thought he was one of them (critical theorists) but there you go.

Gender Studies
Marxist theory
Queer theory
Womens Theory
Theories of identity
Reconstructivism
Semoitics

If its politically "independent" why are (not all , not all) but most that have been schooled in these topics aligned in the same political spectrum?

Literally no. These groups have more disagreement with each other than is useful.

There is little commonality of thought. Stop reading about them, read them.

Nah that was the European dude, Baumen, Lasch was dead before then..
but same era of the anti consumerist 90s, so many of the theorists warned us of globalisation, yet we all jumped at the cheap tvs.

Critical theory has it’s place but it should never come before meritocracy.

Maybe they are seeing the same problems with society...

Seriously, make yourself famous, learn about this shit then apply it to cancel culture.

Is it just me but every time cancel culture, I read cancer culture and immediately thing of Petrie dishes...

Hahaha I love a good autocorrect..

The notion of a meritocracy has destroyed workers solidarity.

It may have contributed to the destruction of society.

Sure it's a nice thought but it doesn't exist.

Like I reluctantly admitted earlier in this thread.
I am the unproud owner of a BA.

Not that it has any credibility, so I won't dwell on that.

The temptation to spend 6 months "learning" about critical theory probably went out the window after a 2 min snipet of Jordan Peterson.

And what would be the purpose of it?
To become a social justice warrior?

I was more thinking about the negative effect it’s having in science because some universities and collages are having to fill racial quotas. I’m basing this off listening to Bret Weinstein talk about it. There was even a movement to try and cancel STEM, it was deemed racist because of critical theory.

I really like some of the little “thought bombs” you lob into the mix from time to time. [emoji3]

I saw one in Seaford around 1990. About 10mtrs off the ground. Some say it could be ball lightning, but i don't know.

You're a builder right?

If someone accdently cuts down a load bearing column, or drops an antique nail gun and brains someone you don't blame the saw or the hammer.

A guy I work with took some video of ball lightning once. Weird shit. It appeared in one spot. Seemed to disappear and simultaneously re appear somewhere else (couldn't tel tho, the difference between actually simultaneous and too fast to measure gets in the way). Seemed to move around things like it was conscious or aware. It was probably just some sort of field effect but it looked eerie.

What I saw was a least two kms high over the city, from the Bacchus Marsh escarpment. We could see one cop chopper trying to investigate. It returned to Essendon Airport and another took off immediately to replace it.

No one in the city would have seen. It was entirely shrouded in fog or low cloud, the whole city south of Essendon Airport, and the bay as far as I could see a night, only the tops of the tallest buildings stuck out. It was one of the trippiest things I've ever seen while not actually tripping.
