Interesting, not against it.
Definitely something to consider, even something more trade skills/qualification oriented. Needs to be matched by jobs on the way out and not the dodgy low-level paying kind that is little better than work for the dole.Real talk - you should get lots of time off your sentence for every qualification you ear in there.

Absolutely, got no problem with the laws, but as an Australian, I don’t have the same infinity with guns and amendments.Seems pretty reasonable.
“Biden is asking that the Justice Department, within a month, propose a rule to stop "ghost guns," which are "kits" people can buy legally then fully assemble to create a functioning firearm that does not have a serial number.”
“The president has said he supports an assault weapons ban, voluntary buybacks of assault weapons, wants to repeal a law that prevents gun manufacturers from being sued for crimes people commit with guns”
Interesting, not against it.
I’m a actually more shocked this hasn’t happened sooner in the USA..
they embraced the punishment completely forgot the rehabilitation part of the prison system.
Only downside to this would be open to abuse, prisoners would aim to got in and out every twelve months to get the triple dole..Anything - as long as it requires work, dedication, committment.
Hell, people doing English Literature degrees in there and writing the most "woo woo" post modern analysis of why Huckleberry Finn is actually trans is great because it shows a committment to changing how they think and live. Complete change in mindset.
Agreed. Support for prisoners coming out is vital.
It'd never fly politically, but I'd be up for paying released prisoners something like triple the dole for a year as a long as they've got qualifications of any sort inside.
Let them get established on release - secure housing, not have to worry about where a feed is coming etc.
Right now we release so many people with a paltry amount and basically nowhere to go.
May as well just keep them in.

That’s all good but they still have for profit prisons and a system where most people are pretty much forced to take a plea deal then fight the case and once someone’s in the system it’s incredibly hard to get away from it.
