You grew up on The Killers? They were pretty big when I was a kid. Mr Brightside was a bit of an anthem.

I seriously cannot get into rap other than WAP lmao

Aus indie and rock are what I listen to, occasionally hard style if I feel like it

That’s one of my playlists I made that I used to play literally on repeat.

Piss off Nickelback, add some Guns & Roses, a bit more grunge and that's me in teens and early 20s.

It's sad, I used to laugh at my parents when they listened to their old music when I was young. Now, I'm them with my playlist still stuck in the late 80s and 90s.

I forgot to ask if anyone knew about this. This was on Monday on Swanston street, what seemed to be a coffin in the back to what I assume was a r@pist or a victim?? It was surrounded by police

Why you think its sad? No substitute to a good tunes list. The key is to keep it fresh by rediscovering similar stuff you missed at the time. Iam hitting up muddy waters , ELO and Yardbirds ATM.

Killers featured big on our playlist when we traveled through Africa on an overland truck in 06

Now that sounds like a good time. I wasn’t really a fan of theirs. I think I might’ve stuffed up when Mr. Brightside was getting flogged because it came out in 04 and I thought it was when I was at school...Lol. I’m class of 99 so definitely not. Memory is weird sometimes.

I always go back to muddy waters from time to time. Have you listened to the Cadillac Records sound track? It’s not bad, it’s got the originals and the covers. Etta James is probably my favourite female vocalist but man Beyoncé does a good job, obviously better recording helps though.

Like food and drinks music is a great way to recall great moments in ones life. Wife and I still refer back to a roadside family run cafe in Thailand where we had the best chilli softshell crab. And was like literally a couple of bucks. We were the only people there and the staff/family came out and sat with us for hours. These are the times you miss now travel is virtually non existent.

Jeeeez the class of 99 would have been sick as, I could only ever imagine being in year 12 and north winning a flag. So lucky

Don't get to sidetracked. You have the rest of your life to discover all the awesome backcatalogs of music and as your tastebuds mature great beers and all while the nmfc are refreshing their list for the next dominant era. Then there will be a day when you can be posting in the grumpy thread commenting on the young whipper snappers speaking of the golden eras of your times.

Getting seriously concerned about all the anti-China sabre rattling that's been occurring the past few years. Seems to continuously be escalating.
Iam not anti China per say. At the end of the day they are acting in their interests. But now that they have shown their hand it would be nieve for us to continue to think we will he riding on their coat tails any longer. Find new customers for our produce and work towards hedging against their manufacturing dominance.

I left school at the start of year 12 because I was offered an apprenticeship and I was just mucking around at school, but yes it was sick as.
