Genetically engineered seeds and the crap that goes with them (pesticides, fungicides. herbicides etc etc). It all costs money that most of those farmers don't have. They usually require monoculture set ups whereas most small time developing world farmers use multiple crops, rotate crops and often provide most of their food.

GE seeds are usually "protected" by patents with agreements preventing farmers from saving the seed or re planting and breeding with it.

There is talk that there will be greenhouse gas emission controls associated as well, which means most farmers will be on the hook for approved fuels and energy sources instead of using wood from their own land or local commons. Effectively being locked out of the natural Carbon cycle by agribusiness, (usually owned and run by the same people/organisations that own everything else) even tho they aren't the ones actually causing the problem.

Gates is a control freak. As if he's gonna let people control their own lives with products he is associated with. We all know his business history.

No, not at all.

The vast majority of "left-leaning" people I know don't love Biden - he's far from perfect and has genuine flaws in his policy positions.

But he's still significantly and dramatically better than Trump on essentially every meaningful issue.

The difference is people on the left don't worship Biden like an infallible deity.
