There’s a trans power lifter from NZ about to compete in the Olympics. Once they smash all the other opponents and probably break records I wonder if people will realise. The trans power lifter was a competitive power lifter as a male before becoming a woman. It’s not fair at all and it’ll be biological females that this trend will effect the most.

It is easy, it was a kneejerk reaction/solution to a socially conscious issue that gained traction.

Those (positions of power) that allowed this circumstance to occur did so either from fear of reprisal ( pressure and unfair accusations of being labelled transphobic) or knowing full well it would be a disaster.

I don't know what the solution is, i wouldn't have a problem with it at junior or recreational levels.
But elite level, where athletes spend years training for their shot at world titles , it serious business.

The fact that these biological women athletes don't speak out about it, is also an indictment of where we are at as a society.
