Vic Libs have gone full Facebook Uncle brane.

They can't understand why Andrews is so popular and it is literally driving them crazy.

At least Fed ALP seems to have a grasp on what people like about Morrison.

How so Simpk ?

Did you see that media release?

They think everything is a conspiracy, they can't think beyond the next day in terms of strategy, they are having paranoid thought bubbles and hitting POST.

Its 2fold. You have seen the clown they are running in opposition? Surely the genuine candidate that will actually contest the election will surface before to long?

What are they going to run on? Less investment in infrastructure? Defunding school builds? Letting the hospitals run to shit again?

Their economic agenda just doesn't fly in this state anymore IMO, and they can't leverage borders, immigration and China to anywhere near the same degree that their federal counterparts can.

Not saying the incumbents are perfect, of course, but they went to an election saying they'll do X, Y, and Z, and have worked towards doing that.

To flip this state they'd probably have to embark on an economic agenda that just doesn't sit well with their party ideology.

The Level Crossing Removal Program one of the great bits of politics. Married retail and strategic perfectly.

They would have to do significantly more than Matthew Guy in the last election.

Andrews had a 5% swing towards and the Libs lost 11 seats.

In my relatively uninformed opinion Andrews had basically been running an in your face campaign, by doing exactly what he promised in the previous election. Removing level crossings. The validity of what they gives us aside (I am commuter my inconvenience benefitted drivers not me), he said he was going to and he did and he disrupted a bunch of people doing it.

Prior to covid he'd have shat the next election in no worries. simply by, he said he'd do a thing, he did the thing and it was public, re-elect him and he'll do more things.

I am interested to see how the next election plays out. I don't think the Libs have a leader right now to oust Labor, unless that changes they probably can't. 26/11/2022 is some time away and who knows where we will be at, the party leaders may not be that then.

Wouldn't it be decided upon which one can label the other one sexual predators in the most efficient manner?

The bloated public sector will get the ALP home by looking after their own interests. As far as they're concerned, nobody else exists.

Very big, very public, fulfilling of election promises.

Pretty easy thing to point to when your opposition is basically staked their entire campaign on flinging shit at you.

The libs desperately need a company to undergo a woke corporate rebranding to get the idiots angry.

1979 - Lib
1982 - Labor
1985 - Labor
1988 - Labor
1992 - Lib (Labor changed leadership mid term)
1996 - Lib
1999 - Labor
2002 - Labor
2006 - Labor
2010 - Lib (Labor changed leadership mid term)
2014 - Labor
2018 - Labor

Since John Cain the Liberals have won 3 state elections. Elected only 2 Premiers, and each time it has been when there was a leadership change mid term, When Cain retired, and when Bracks walked away from politics.

As a state we seem to vote for Labor twice as often as we do for the liberal party, the liberal party seem to take decent advantage of disruption within the Labor party.

It's interesting see that Labor gets three terms each go, while the Libs do not.
Of course the 1999 election and the role of independents changes this to a degree.

There's heaps of crap that needs fixing. Building and planning permits are a total mess ATM yet crickets from both parties on fixing them.

Something people could touch and feel in their own suburb that actively improved a thing that annoyed them.
