My advice, new carpet, a lick of paint, some blinds from this century... worry about the pool table later!

But hey, that's just me.

And Spruce was actually one of the greens, 1. Spruce, 2. Tournament Green IMO.

Blue felt is some seppo bullshit that I wouldn't want in my house.

If it's a light colour wood (you said the pics you sent were different to the actual table?), blue should make it pop.

Black will be difficult to keep clean though with the dust settling.

It's not my room it's my Parent's.

Black looks great with black or very very dark wood, gives a nice gentlemen's club feel. Can look tacky if the wood is too light.

Didn't realise the first pic is yours - I'd stay away from black for that colour wood.

Not sure why it's even up for debate. Blue is fine in a pub/pool hall, but in the home I would stick with green every day of the week.
(Also you need to Maria Kondo your arse and declutter).
