Geez not good; we had a big one yesterday...two hours later sunny and humid

When it’s all over BBQ at Spiders Place

Was planning on cooking some steaks onthe BBQ tonight too.

Flash flooding everywhere round town. Rain still steady but looks like the heavy falls have past us.

Everything ok now SpiderBurton22? (as in not too much damage etc)

Yeah all good, thanks.

No damage, just a bit of water in the outdoor area. Rain has slowed now. The drains couldn't handle the volume. We're on high ground, the neighbour though had aa lake as a backyard. He was sweeping the water from his back door.

Good to hear mate.

Doubt your neighbour needs to fill his pool then........

Laconic meaning: Concise to the point of being rude, I'm sure others, as well as myself, could be a bit more wordy at times.

Phillip was the father of Alexander the Great fwiw and a decent argument can be made that even though he didn’t conquer as much as Alexander he was an excellent general.
Any direct line to Liz's other half?

We've had rain like that twice today. Its happening a bit this year, must be a proper wet year coming. Maybe the drought will break. If its wet up here youse should get more rain too.

When Cyclone Debbie hit we had about 400-450mm between 4 and 7 in the morning and another 200-250 in the next 15 hours. That was ****ed. The water was overflowing the gutters and backing up on the roof, eventually it found its way in and hasn't been the same since in places.

Yeah its weird, we had a months rain in 1 hour. If you just rocked up here on holidays you would have thought we were in tropical Queensland, not the coast of Victoria.

I'm enjoying the tropical hotspot of Hobart at the moment.

Feet up. Mercury Cider in hand.........happy days!

(only bragging as I know how it turns down here.....ha)
