It's no wonder traditional media outlets have been tip-toeing around this topic at this stage.

Their ultra capitalism ethos works on the growth bubble and the bubble has just about maxed out.

That excellent podcast you posted earlier pretty much nailed it. Governments have been failing their duty to the whole of society and when that happens the underclass always revolt.

Re revolution, I think there has never been a greater disparity between both sides of the revolutionary battle than now in relation to the ability to enact/quash revolution in the physical space. The rich/govt have so much firepower so easily deployed that physical revolution will simply be kerb stomped, creating urban battlegrounds whilst protecting spaces occupied by money. In that sense a successful revolution is almost impossible imo.

However the digital space is where the new revolutionaries can flip the scales and bring down the institutions that hold the system in place. Never before has the individual or a small group of individuals had the capacity to cause such chaos. This could be the very beginning of that battle and perhaps the real dawning of the internet and its function in defining its role for humanity. Sure beats cat memes and shit fights.
