Met my wife through work, but one of my mates who is far more socialable than me met his wife through an app.

Sure there a pitfalls, but you aren't getting the best opportunities to meet someone at the pub on a regular basis.

Not everyone has the ability to meet someone through work or regular social means.

Even on a platonic level, it's the same reason I wouldn't have a crack at people who post heavily on BF as they may not have friends or the ability to meet people offline.

I'm all for people unplugging and and getting out into the real world as much as possible, but that's a bad take mate.
