When they 'bought' United the club had been debt free for almost 70 years. Then they financed the takeover by loading the debt onto the club and have spent the last 15 years restructuring the massive interest payments, selling shares with no voting power to raise funds and sucking millions in 'fees' from the club each year into the pockets of the Glazer children.

All whilst loading £500 million in debt onto the clubs books.

This European Super League is very much their baby and the only way they can see a debt reduction whilst maintaining any kind of competitive team. They are prepared to sell the soul of the club. Actually, they already did that. Now they plan to piss on its ashes.

Every few years there is talk about a break away Euro Super League etc. Just watch, in a few weeks there will be a $deal$ done between the clubs/uefa/tv rights holders and it’ll be all hunky dory again. These mega corporations that call themselves football clubs just want more cash funnelled their way. The Man U’s/City’s, Liverpools and Barca’s of the world are basically whoring themselves.

When I first moved out here, decades ago, it was November. Seemed like the back of nowhere. A local shopkeeper invited us to the Christmas Party. We turned expecting a few poeople, couple of dozen at most and there were at least 300 people partying like mad. Award winning musos playing... last song of the night was Copperhead Rd and everyone sang along, every word from the first to the last. (I may have already told you that story but its worth repeating.)

UEFA is being ****ed over by the big dogs who are creating their own 20 team league where they are guaranteed the revenue that would have gone to the champions league goes to them. Each of the 16 clubs will get €300 million each year from this and none can be removed from the comp.

The only recourse now is for their home FA's to ban/relegate them.
