I don’t get much chance to read. So I do audio books and podcasts. I listened to this one a few years ago and it did touch on Zardari. We complain about our politicians but man we’re very lucky.

I know his a ex-political rival but Gen Musharraf is pretty clear on who killed both her and her bro, he makes a good point too about the lack of action to find out who did it..

Man I’m still fighting this chest infection. It’s been over two months now. I actually fainted last night from coughing so much (yeah I know, soft as) not to mention I’m coughing so hard I end up being sick. Had 2 courses of antibiotics, a course of steroids and just got back from the respiratory clinic, another round of steroids in coming. Sometimes I can barely breathe but the X-rays have come back all clear.

After I get over this I’m getting my shit back together. A new boxing hall just opened up around the corner, think I’ll get back into it....not fighting though. Just for fitness.

The 34th RAAF squadron has been ferrying vip’s and prime ministers around uninterrupted since 1959. Honour guards for pm’s, and defence chiefs, are nothing new either. The red carpet for an internal defence visit is, however, new, but those are used for state functions and visiting foreign dignitaries all the time anyway.

Should be more concerned at the sheer costs of ferrying around officials on giant jets.

That is exactly what it is.

Projecting military power and international strength image exercise I would suggest, especially with the ongoing disputes with China. How often is an image released of a PM getting off a plane at a base. Normally it is the hand-shaking, talking to someone random or looking at some obscure piece of new equipment.
