Look, I agree that there are right wing nutters that need to be reached. I also agree that by and large those are straight, white males. Not always, but by and large. They’ve previously been the “top dogs” in western society, and that’s no longer the case. For a normal, well-adjusted human, it just means go and earn a top spot. For a loser that was only in power because of their skin colour and gender, they don’t have it in them to get to the top, so they become angry and can go seeking extremists that pander to them. As with any extremist, the answer is to try and bring them back into the fold, not push them further away. No idea how to do that, but then again I’m not being paid to do that so I don’t need to know. I hope we have good people in those counter-terrorism forces though.

Left wing extremism (communist dictatorships) is responsible for probably millions times as many deaths as right wing extremism. Not sure why it needs to be a tit for tat of finding the worst possible example of either and presenting it as representative of the majority. That scum that went to New Zealand is beyond words, there aren’t enough bad words in human vocabularies to describe him. But he isn’t representative of the broader RWNJ community, even if they are sad and pathetic losers.

Extremist of all persuasions are created by disenfranchisement.
Don’t matter if they’re left or right.. equality and offering people a perceived better life then their parents is key. Giving hope for the future..

In Australia though, it's an asio concern. Don't think BLM has had much of a destructive streak here.

I get SLF’s article was specifically referring to Australia, but why wouldn’t we talk on a broader, global scale? These are issues being faced across the whole of the western world, for the reasons I mentioned in my previous post - spuds who have previously been on top despite being spuds because of their skin colour and gender not being happy that they’re no longer on top.

I agree that BLM hasn’t had a terrorist presence here that I’m aware of. Not sure what the left wing terrorism they’re keeping an eye on here is, but the article mentioned right wing extremism was 50%, so I assume the other 50% is left wing.

Guys like in your post are laughably weak, they would be the first to go to water if they had to face what our grandparents and beyond had to face during the World Wars.
