Takes Hitlers side.

Loses job.

Gets on cottage industry of 'waaaaaaaah Ive been cancelled'.

Profit.

Yeah, when you're lining up with Hitler on anything apart from highway construction, it is a ... sign.

I woke up went to the kitchen, took my creatine, looked at the bread and saw there was none to make my cheese toasty [emoji24][emoji24]

First world problems

And if it makes matters worse I have a sinus headache and an assignment due tomorrow [emoji31][emoji31][emoji31][emoji31][emoji31]

Thanks for putting this up ferbs, I just watched it.

People here are leaving hundreds of pairs of children's shoes at various churches and government buildings across Canada to honor the memory of the victims. Security at the Ontario legislature initially ordered shoes left there be removed, but eventually backed off.

Flags here are all lowered at half mast. There's talk of declaring a National day of observance/mourning. But the federal government is still fighting residential school settlements in court, to this day. That documentary did a good job of detailing just how entrenched all levels are - church, government, the courts, and law enforcement.

I hope people watch it. One of things that I thought was so beautifully articulated in there was about healing, and about how these people can't actually heal, because no one has admitted their wrongs. So the wounding continues this day, and every day. And it's not like we don't see it all around us.

One of the survivors interviewed said "The way we can stop it is by trying to get people to care".
This is a project censored report on the situation in North America.

It's even funnier when you realise that historians now tend to agree that Hitler was (essentially) whacked out on amphetimines constantly

So was JFK, Churchill was constantly pissed.

Tbh of all Hitler's issues, a taste for the goey is the least of my concerns.

Sure, but 'high energy bordering on a manic state' wasn't a corner-stone of JFK's identity.

Just saying, Hitler's "enthusiastic" energy while giving speeches takes on an entirely different tone when you consider he was on meth.

In 1962, at the Carlyle Hotel in New York, a man “peeled off his clothing and began prancing around his hotel suite.” His bodyguards were cautiously amused, until the man “left the suite and began roaming through the corridor of the Carlyle.”

The man in question was delusional, paranoid and suffering a “psychotic break” from the effects of an overdose of methamphetamine.

He was also the president of the United States.

Meth gets played up as some demon drug because when bored people without much going on in their lives misuse it, they can have bad reactions and do dumb shit.

It is also a medicine with very useful applications.

I know your heart is in the right place, but... yeah nah.

I worked for VicPol for years. My brother-in-law is an Ambo.

Meth is a plague that has ****ed over too many vulnerable people in society.
Anyone associated with it's proliferation, production, or supply is scum.

There's your issue.

VicPol had no problems being directly involved in the supply of precursors to meth cooks for years, it was their policy, so as always, any view they have is immediately discounted due to their corruption.

Some people in our society have medical conditions that mean they need meth to function.

Some people use meth recreationally and it has no deleterious impact on their lives.

Some people use meth recreationally and because of pre-existing conditions in their lives it gets completely out of hand.

I personally don't like the stuff at all, but it doesn't have a personality or individual agency.

Drugs are a health issue, if they weren’t criminalised then the most vulnerable in society wouldn’t have to search for them amongst criminal elements to get them..
If they had a problem, it might be identified earlier so they can get the help they need..

Meth isn't cannabis or MDMA. It's medicinal functions are extremely limited, and the common forms it is produced and proliferated in has next-to-no medicinal use at all.

There's a huge difference between something like Dexamphetamine Sulphate prescribed in 5mg tablets, and a dirty rock of ice cooked in a shed in some rural backwater and smoked in a pipe in Melton.

Can't go with you on this one, SimpkinByTheDockOfTheBay

I agree, and I'm all for a full recreational legalisation of cannabis, and a controlled legalisation of therapeutic MDMA.

Methamphetamines though? No. Absolutely not.

We need to rethink the problem entirely, people who want drugs are going to find them anyway. Treat the underlying issues, not the cause.

I know a lot of high functioning people who take, meth, heroin, LSD etc. these people are holding down jobs at an executive level. Simply they like drugs, been doing them since University days, they’re not going to change now..

It’s pointless trying say there’s a one solution to this issue. Personally I’d go the other way and take the criminally completely out of it..
you want pills? you go to the chemist, using an id, you can get what ever you want.
chemist thinks you’ve got an issue, you have to go to a dr/detox.

No dirty bathtubs making meth.
No western Sydney shootings.
No petty crime to get a hit.
