Former St Kilda coach Grant Thomas has sold his digital bank company for $116 million.
The deal for Up was made on Monday, selling the fintech, Ferocia, to Bendigo and Adelaide Bank on the back of a nine-year partnership.
Thomas and business partner Dom Pym formed the partnership in 2012 with the bank as a vendor for its Bendigo e-banking app and internet banking platform.
“It’s the culmination of a lot of time and effort,’’ Thomas said.
“It’s the same as footy, if you get the culture and the people right you can do amazing things.
“Not all deals have a good outcome but for all parties it was a tremendous outcome.”

Grant Thomas’ digital bank company was sold for $116 million.
Thomas, who was St Kilda coach from 2001-2006, said he would stay in the technology industry.
“I’m looking forward to the next phase,’’ he said.
“My time in football came to an abrupt end but I’ve always said the day you stop working is the day you start dying. It’s been a wild ride but I’m very happy with what I’m doing.”

Thomas said seven of his eight children work for the business.

Ferocia will operate as a division within the bank, with the deal to include Ferocia’s 50 per cent stake in Up, along with the startup’s intellectual property and its team.
Up now has more than 400,000 customers, with a largely younger base.

President Erdogan, who is facing increasing domestic criticism for hosting the world’s biggest refugee population, has vowed that his country would not become a “motel for migrants”.

The additional troops were deployed to secure the eastern province of Van, where a 180-mile fortified border wall — 9ft tall and with 12ft deep trenches

At least they’re not touching the vaccine.

all this Ivermectin stuff started with Australian Professor Tom Borody he recommended a triple treatment of three over the counter drugs, which has been fairly successful overseas.
People self medicating with animal doses is a little bit disturbing..
