This one hit my wife's hometown 14 years ago. Damaged her aunt's house while her 15 year old cousin was at home by herself. Poor kid.



This is from the New England tableland between Glen Innes and Armidale.



I've seen some from where we used to live on the ridge. No photos or vids tho. Nothing that spectacular either.

A few conservatives went down that route though in 2016. I initially and briefly liked specific minor aspects of Trumpism myself, but detested it as a whole and ultimately denounced it in the end as it was largely horrible for the mainstream conservative movement. I wouldn't be too worried about old Dom, especially after Trump's style of politics was rejected the second time around in 2020. He would have to tone down a lot as a premier.

Sitting in the side of the road in between Colac and Forrest waiting for a tow truck after something fell from a tree and smashed my windscreen while doing 90kms.

I'm OK. Fine glass shards all over me and the front of the car. Kept the car on the road, just shit myself didn't know what the **** was going on. More than likely a branch from a gum tree fell, it's wild weather in the Otways today.

Had a similar experience once. A mini tornado blew a branch off a gum tree and I watched it spiral toward me in the passenger seat I thought it was gonna go thru the windscreen and gut me but it hit right where the windscreen meets the chassis. So lucky. The branch dented the crap out of the boot and roof also hit the back passenger window and smashed that as well. We were about 3 kms from home so we drove home and half a km from home an invisible tornado went across the road in from of us. We could tell it was a tornado cos logs and other debris were spinning on the wind about 30 feet above the ground. No mist or cloud tho.

Got home, ran inside and there was this massive crunching sound. The wind had ripped the corrugated iron roof off an old water tank in the paddock picked it up and blew it over a power line 50m down the paddock before bending it half!!

Crazy weather.

Don't drive in storms.
