That depends on who says what lol. However they were both working with that copper whose name I forget importing precursor chemicals and other things, allegedly.

I dunno if it ever went to air but in the weeks before he was shot Alphonse is sposed to have recorded an interview with four corners that refers to or names the cop (maybe Paul Dale, but I'm not sure if it was him. The Vic drug squad were corrupt as back then. Probably still are.) I remember a mate being up here visiting at the time and saying "That campaigner Alphonse from Carlton got shot. Everything is about to go **** up ballistic." How right he was.

It wasn't really my thing but my friend who was in a situation she wanted to get out of was "working for" pimps in Lygon St who had protection and enforcement supplied by Alphonse and the Morans. This was ... maybe five years before they all started killing each other. I'm glad that's all long gone frankly.

She’s a small world the crooks roll in. They all sort of cross over through connections a bit. Shithouse lifestyle. It’s changed a bit now with the Lebos strengthening the bikies a bit but it’s probably still the same.

The whole gangland war shit is ironic as **** tbh. A lot of those blokes thought they were bulletproof, to get so badly beaten by Williams’ crew is proof you just need more balls then brains.

Don’t come anymore left then Brand.

lol that's funny, but Brand has never been "left". He's always been pretty firmly in the venn-diagram between 'liberarian' and 'wellness-nazi'.

Have done it twice and found it fascinating both times. And it was quite heartening to see everyone take it seriously.
When I was doing work experience in the courts, last century, people used to call up and request to be put on a jury for the daily allowance. They would also put in requests for certain days, "I've got Thursday week off", and be horrified that we wouldn't take advantage of their civic generosity.

I don't find him funny but librarian is a bit harsh.

His podcast is quite interesting. He’s an actor, an addict, not sure if he was ever a real stand up. Doesn’t matter what he was or is but he’s 100% accurate in that clip. Hillary’s camp were found guilty and he exposes an uncomfortable truth, well he didn’t the court did and reporter Glen Greenwald, so now Glens had the Democrats put the shit suit on him, by their media cronies, Brand too because he dares talk about it.

I’ve listened to him off and on since he started podcasting. Some interviews are fantastic. There was one early days with a feminist Anne something that was excellent and thought provoking . He’ll have a conversation with anyone. Not all are great but he’s a pretty unique individual and I like that. Nothing worse then people just sticking in their echo chambers.

Some people are only comfortable when their beliefs are reinforced not challenged.

**** me, used car prices have gone through the roof atm.

Thinking of getting a medium SUV, so we
went to a local dealership today and 2 2016 Nissan Qashqai's on the lot with 45 and 50,000 ks on the clock for $29000.

Right next door to them was a brand new Kia Seltos for the same price with 10 years warranty.

Covid is a boon for used car sales. Don't look past the 2015 Subaru outbacks for value.

True. I've always said I'd never buy a brand new car as it loses thousands the minute you drive it off the lot, but I'm starting to rethink that now.
It's pretty much the first time that your previous opinion isn't true. My parents were lucky enough to buy a van pre covid, then sold it for 10 grand more than they paid.

Yep, we've got a 2014 Camry that we paid $15,000 for in 2016. The dealership today offered us $11,000 trade in, but we could probably get at least 15 if we sold it privately.

My step father used to drink and fish with Graham Chook Fowler, the corrupt chief of the kings cross police department in the 1990s. Was prominent in one of the underbelly series.

The chook was a real loose unit
