Wow.
That is a fascinating thread. He is right. If they don't fix it it will break the world's economy.
Yep, that circulation metaphor is perfect.

Find out who owns Port if Los Angeles and you’ll find out the source of the issue…

This is excellent in terms of just how finely leveraged everything was, and how it now all jammed up.

It's owned by the Los Angeles City Council, is it not? Not sure the point you're making here.Find out who owns Port if Los Angeles and you’ll find out the source of the issue…
Nah he's serious.
There are hundreds of ships sitting off the Cali coast, maybe, dunno the full number but it is over 100.
The images on this page give a good idea of how f’ed up it is.

There was a big thing a few years ago with anti monopoly laws kicking into gear and the San Pedro Bay Port complex..It's owned by the Los Angeles City Council, is it not? Not sure the point you're making here.
Yeah, you're reading too much into this one, surprisingly. There was a big thing a few years ago with anti monopoly laws kicking into gear and the San Pedro Bay Port complex..
The trump admin tried to get Chinese to divest. As basically the whole thing was owned by HK or China conglomerates OOIL and COSCO.
Yeah, you're reading too much into this one, surprisingly.
It's very well known that the entire business world thought we were going into a deep recession, and orders were slashed accordingly. When that didn't happen, they had to ramp up production but it's been hard due to repeated covid shutdowns. Economics has taken over and shipping companies are better off sending an empty ship back to China rather than waiting for it to be filled with empty containers.
Basically a global economy set up for just in time production has been exposed as incredibly fragile. And some business leaders have been exposed as really ******* stupid. The big 4 consulting firms - who receive millions and millions of taxpayer dollars each year - laid off tens of thousands of people when covid hit, and since then, there wouldn't be a professional services firm in the world that isn't run off their feet.
good article, this has been building up for the decade of underinvestment. The American taxpayer will pick up the bill to fix a multinationals problem.Yeah, you're reading too much into this one, surprisingly.

This basically what that term systempunkt means. This, plus logistics bottlenecks beget further bottlenecks. Companies recognise a delay so put orders in now for peak season (e.g. Christmas), further increasing the bottleneck.
Why did he do it?Anyone see that messed up experiment that Fauci did on dogs? With all the stuff that’s getting released to the media about his involvement in the gain of function research lab in Wuhan and this latest leak about the dog experiment the walls are closing in on him for sure, he’s f’ed. He’s copping it from both parties now.
It’s come out that he did an experiment where they took dogs and locked their heads in mesh cages full of sand flies and the sand flies ate their faces while the dogs were alive. It’s pretty shocking.
