BTW Georgia just passed laws (along with a fu**load of other US states) that qualify as voter suppression targeting minority voters.
We just passed our own voter suppression laws under the guise of 'Voter ID'.After the so called stolen election last year lots of laws restricting voting rights have passed. In georgia the Democrats won the state for the first time in decades during the last federal election. They won by about 10, 000 votes so this was passed in response by the Republican state government.

What Georgia’s Voting Law Really Does (Published 2021)
The New York Times analyzed the state’s new 98-page voting law and identified 16 key provisions that will limit ballot access, potentially confuse voters and give more power to Republican lawmakers.www.nytimes.com
I don't see much difference between the parties at a federal level in the US. There are differences and they make a difference to people in the US' lives especially poorer people in the US, but not much really changes. At state and local level tho there are real differences in outcomes. And people vote for everything in the US. Judges, DAs, Cops and heaps of other positions.
One of those laws makes it illegal to offer water to people in line to vote. Doesn't seem like much but the shenanigans around voting in the US are mind boggling. In some areas ruling parties will make less voting booths available if the area will provide more votes to the opposition. This results in long lines during midday sun and community groups would set up water stations to assist voters who could be in line for hours. Its now illegal to do this. Its considered bribing people for their vote.
That is just one example.
For a place that prides itself on being "the lnd of the free" they go light years out of their way to restrict some peoples freedoms.

Guess who just got harassed and NO ONE went to step in
I was eating peacefully on a bench and this old man came up to me trying to give me money and I kept refusing and refusing and people just looked and walked past
he also touched my hair
I DARE someone tell me how I was asking for it whilst having AirPods in on my phone eating my chips in a jumper and work pants.
Nah oh wellThat sucks. Did you take a photo of him?

I’m fine now, he didnt ask me to do anything for it just that “heaven sent me to give it”Are you ok? You should probably call the local cops. Sounds like a predator, they might know him by description.
