It’s very interesting to see this attack on Rogan. It’s starts off with an issue about having scientists on with an alternative view about treating covid. Then someone has gone through 12 years worth of content to find when he’s used any racial slurs (taken out of context but as he said I’m that video it doesn’t matter) and now he’s been labeled racist.

He’s not racist. Anyone who listens to his show knows this. 90% of it was from years ago so it’s like saying people can’t grow and change. The most interesting one is that planet of the apes clip because he deleted it after uploading the video but someone saved it till now.

I don’t think they’ll be able to cancel him but watching them try is really illuminating.

Build don't buy! I built my first PC in ten years in December - it's a little gaming monster.

Agree that gaming can be a fantastic immersive story telling medium - something a lot of people don't understand.

Unfortunately TLOU games are PS exclusives at the moment, I'm hoping they'll make it to PC this year. But there are plenty of other wonderful choices out there. PC gaming is a gateway to other worlds.

I dunno what i'm doing tho.

I'm up for advice if you have any....

Hes one of the most interesting people alive. Don’t agree with much that he says but he’s still entertaining. Though I must admit I’ve never listened to or watched any of his content. I’ve only seen him on JRE and Flagrant 2. The man is unhinged but very watchable.

Im not a fan of censorship at all, and I have a pretty dark sense of humour. So for me listening to Alex do Joes head in for 2 hours is fun.

Anyway the point I was making in my original post was that it doesnot matter who Spotify want joe to have on, they have zero say in who his guests are. Sure they can pull the episodes at a later date but Joe is in complete control over the show. They don’t even know who he’s having on, he just does the show and uploads it.


I’ll honestly die of laughter if his next guest is Robert Kennedy. Would be one the greatest trolls of all time.

Wouldn't have kept my sanity through the last couple years if it wasn't for total war Warhammer 2 and destiny 2 on my PC.

My last desktop pc which was a gaming one (tho it was about 10 years old) died ion the weeks leading up to covid and I never got organised to buy a new one.

It does look like it. Definitely an organised attack. People were even going after friends of his for supporting him. The only one to fold has been The Rock.

The US government putting pressure on a foreign company to censor him is giving me major CCP vibes.

He’s gotten too influential and they don’t like it. Can’t see them putting a dint in him though, there’s no Alex Jones Sandy Hook situation so there’s no bases to remove him. They’re just trying to make him radioactive. Hasn’t worked though because he’s helped so many people build careers and cultivated a massive audience that sort of know him because you get to know someones personality who puts out about 12 hours of content every week over a period of years. He’s got enormous support.

His audience will probably grow like it always does when something like this happens. People who weren’t aware of the show will listen to see what the fuss is about and a percentage of those people will enjoy it and subscribe.

First things to work out are budget and what you want from it, what type of games or other programs, what resolution and frame rate etc

From that can assist with putting together a parts list.

I actually haven't listened much in the last decade.

After Obama was elected and the tea baggers started up Jones changed and definitely went from anti authoritarian to right wing populism on the back of boomers freaking out about a black guy in the White House. How dare he live in their house!!!

He used to have shows where he'd challenge the idea that Muslims were dangerous terrorists altho most people wouldn't believe that. In the aftermath of 9/11 when the FBI was entrapping Muslim kids with cognitive issues and mental health conditions to promote the GWoT and a general vulture of fear, he was pointing it out (along with alot of others.)

In fact watching conspiracy culture you can see another conspiracy unfolding. Its the use of conspiracy theories to prime people for right wing popularism. The journey jones took, from a fringe texas radio host to the White House with Trump is pretty interesting in itself and illustrates it well.

A gaming computer is effectively a platform to host a kickass video card.

Decide what video chipset you want then build something round that. Don't skimp on a power supply. Gaming rigs love to sap power supplies.

Whilst CPUs seem to get more power efficient with ea generation gaming GPUs don't seem to follow this trend.

Hence a multimedia PC is fine with frugal power requirements gaming rigs are power hogs.

That's because there is an obsession with people maintaining an impossible level of puritan cleanliness.

The tea baggers in the US took over the republican party in the 2010 midterms by supporting anyone who wouldn't spend money on anything. Its a form of political correctness to think local governments spending money employing people is a crime against mammon.

Scott Morrison saying that providing free RAT tests is attacking free enterprise or whatever the **** he said is exactly the same thing.

Clementine Ford says some boring bullshit and men everywhere have conniptions. Its no different to whinging about Rogan using the word ******. Which will have been censored by this website, so you won't actually be able to read what I said. (I don't really have a problem with that small bit of censorship tho.)

There has to be a balance between censoring overtly dangerous racist and sexist language (or any other bigotry I missed,) and not getting bent out of shape by stuff like what Rogan said. Or Justin Trudeau in blackface 20 years ago at a party. Or the Jackson Jive (a bunch of non white people in Australia,) upsetting some white seppo singer (who made a career ripping off black music.)
