That article reminded me of a 1992 book called We've had 100 years of psychotherapy and the world is getting worse which is some conversations between a shrink, James Hillman, and a ****ed up American writer called Micheal Ventura.

This is about as much of it as i can find online but its worth a read anyway.

Human beings need adversity to psychologically grow.

Those who have been denied the necessary adversity, manufacture it and create an illusory existence for themselves.

Of course, it's all just for show. None of them really walk the talk.

Take Chadwiko , for example. There is a classic example of a bloke whose mother was laying his clothes out for him when he was 23. These people have been getting trophy's for finishing last all of their lives. As a result, they do not understand the fallible nature of human thought processes, and naturally these people become more & more marginalized from reality, then eventually seek out others like themselves according to a human psychological trait known as "pluralistic ignorance" which has evolved in to the organized group think we know as "wokeism" today................an entire generation of people who got a trophy for finishing last.

Lots of non-tertiary educated people earn bucket loads more then their counterparts.
It's an urban myth that politics in Australia is a two party system that reflects representation of white v blue collar.

Australia is pretty much all middle class (varying degrees) within the bell curve.
Yes you have ultra wealthy and those in poverty on either side of the bell curve.

The modern reference to working class is more about the values of Australians that have worked hard in pursuit of their life goals and aspirations.

Who don't buy the trash that is dominating modern cultural discourse rammed down our throats.
