Unpopular opinion: despite all the doom and gloom about us on BigFooty.com, I think we have a very very good midfield developing and are slowly cementing key spots on the wings and each end to compilinent it - Stevo, Curtis, Larkey, McKay, etc. I know many others will disagree, but I think we’re 3 players away from a strong side: two key backs and a marking forward. I actually think filling those spots will make the world of difference - the reward of marking targets in the forward line will energise a midfield who can’t help but be shattered by the ball continually sailing back past them after a benign forward entry, and giving the backs some respite from the current constant rebound of the ball back into their territory will make a real difference. 3 players. One or two drafts including some smart trading of one of our mids given that’s where we are overstocked in the context of our current team balance, and it could all change. Hopefully the players believe this too, and this time next year we’re almost there and the ‘holding pattern’ players like turner and Mahoney have made way for the ins that will help get us to the promised land. Call me crazy, but I believe. Don’t underestimate what a couple of players and the confidence/flow on effect of having filled just two to three key holes will do for this side.

Reading the comments they were SOG’s which is apparently weird because normally it’d be highway patrol and they’re ordered to withdraw when someone is driving like that. Some suggestion that we’re not being told everything.
