You think the government did that or just didn't do anything to stop those importing and selling drugs? I think there is an epidemic in the USA with white people now and drug abuse and they aren't doing much about that either.

There is a reason black Americans say CIA stands for Crack in America. It may just be a coincidence that crack flooded black communities at the very time they were starting to become economically and socially powerful and free. Or not. I guess it just depends how cynical you are.

Yeah, CIA definitely does nefarious s**t all the time, they are almost independent of the US government though, any time a president has threatened to reign them in they mysteriously get assassinated like JFK or when Trump threatened to reign them in he all of a sudden got caught up in a Russia-gate scandal.

Probably the largest problem holding America back is their inability to reign in their intelligence and military agencies, you do not even need to believe in conspiracy theories because a lot of information was released by the USA government not long ago. Hilariously, or not so hilarious, JFK had vetoed the CIA/Military from doing such plans as flying a civilian plane into a building and blaming Cuba to justify invading them during the Cuban missile crisis. I guess they liked that playbook, it is a shame that wasn't released before the Iraq war.

I think when you have malevolence at that level it goes well beyond petty things like racism. When you have an abhorrent lack of respect for life itself, something like racism is kinda trivial, they have butchered millions of people around the world, letting drugs on the street seems almost a misdemeanor by comparison.

I didn't really follow this PRGuy stuff but Jordies, for all his pro ALP bias, has been thru the ringer. He is actually really *en good as far as alt journos go. He brings attention to stuff. Blood Water is pretty good and the way he went after Bruz was fantastic and its ****ed up what happened to him and his show crew. But Shanks stood up, didn't back down. All he did was get angrier about it. And he backed his producer up and fought for him, went right into bat for him and stood with him.

All these right-wing campaigners bang on about censorship and how their free speech is under threat and wnak wnak wnak but a state government they all support set the anti terror cops on a *en comedian!!!! Just cos he called out their corruption and hung s**t on them. Like they're *en Soviet leaders! Or any other authoritarian campaigner. None of those pricks could handle people laughing and hanging s**t on them either.

Its worse than cancel culture. Its literal authoritarian fascism.

Its a good discussion. They raise some good points too. Like actual intelligent discussion about the realities of free speech and free political speech.

If you got into the nitty gritty details of that organisations history... lol most of will never know it. Even all the congressional hearings are so heavily redacted, at the point of questioning... that the ****ed up stuff that does come is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

That's the original deep state. Not what Trump went on about, altho there is some truth in other views of it - the revolving door between Washington and Wall St is a real thing. But the original concept, as I understoof it before 9/11 even, was the network of intelligence agencies and criminal organisations. In terms of working across international borders intelligence agencies always have ties with smugglers and traffickers - be it drugs, weapons of people. Makes sense since they traffic information (and dis/misinformation.)

Not just the CIA, all intelligence agencies do this s**t. They use terrorists and criminals. Or freedom fighters. Rely on them for weapons and coms in "enemy territory".

Everyone bangs on about Trump being owned by Putin but he wasn't. He owed money to Russian gangsters in the US who had long standing alliances with the CIA. Or so they say...

LOL. Some of the people pushing QAnon in the US are actual "retired" US military psychological warfare veterans.

But the whole dismantling of what people called Black Resistence wasn't just "racism" it was attacking something that could form alliances in other parts of the world where the CIA had created coups, death squads etc etc. If you challenge the rise of independent black economic communities in the US you prevent the creation of communities where people challenge US neo colonialism. (Altho you'd also create another conservative non white block to have a moderatish influence on social policy while advocating bombing countries or couping them and stealing their stuff investing in their resources.

However a massive influence on the early CIA were the racist Nazi scum who were extracted from Europe via US ratlines after ww2. They had intel and hated Communism and already had relationships with people like Allen Dulles.

Yesterday I saw an ancient old lady try to park in the mail only spot outside the local post office but she mounted the curb and ran into the mailbox.

Well she obviously had something she needed to post .... just got a bit muddled The old Doris that lives across from me took about 5 goes to get out of her driveway a few months back. Missed the grass on one side, but managed to take down her side fence on the other :-D She's dodgy asf, her daughter knows but lives far away. Had another old Doris drive down my street, a one way gig, and ask me how to get through the end of the road ..... I grabbed my best little mate, told old Doris to ride shotgun, and made the small drive into the Village she lives in to get her home safely. Happily grassed her up to the Village Admin on the way out, and had a casual stroll home in the sun Good samaritan job done for the day. There's plenty about.
