Glenohumeral joint is likely being squeezed too tight, probably heavily rolled forward shoulders. Try leaning forward and to the ground with your torso slightly, and internally rotating your wrists slightly, like you're pouring a kettle of water in each hand. This should engage the rear delts a little more and remove the pinch in the GH joint.

I just don't do lateral raises anymore.
My brother is the same. Just does compound movements with his shoulders to compensate. I don’t seem to have issues with isolation work for my shoulders. I do lateral raises with the pouring motion and it seems to work without issue.

I have bigger problems with getting depth with my squats due to knee problems. Which is weird because I am good at calf exercises for my weight.

I used to have knee problems! My IT bands where tight and I have weak glutes, I’d say see a physio if you haven’t. I have excellent depth in my squat like ass to grass, to do so I place my feel a bit outside of hip width with my feet pointing on a bit of an angle

but in saying that it comes down to how your body is made lol I forgot the word

Biggest problem is loading with cricket and multiple net sessions putting a lot of stress on the legs. Will need to see a physio soon though.

I get you, I’d probably say when you are doing strength keep it light but not too light so like RPE of 6/7, so you can start building that load. Then recover right, icebaths, foam rolling, nutrition and sleep.

RIP Strop, an absolute Colossus of the sports and entertainment industries. I suspect that after being married to Delvene Delaney for a number of decades, heaven may be a bit of a let down.

So many people would not even know his name. His influence on the entertainment world was huge. The Paul Hogan Show was a massive success and then he was the brains with Packer that changed cricket forever with his work on World Series Cricket. Add to that his co-creation of the most successful Aussie movie ever made, Crocodile Dundee, the man is a genuine Aussie legend. His wife was kinda cute too. Vale Strop and thanks for the memories.
