Part of becoming a father is that you immediately become the funniest person in the world and that all your children need to see this.

Another part of being a father, especially to know it all teenagers is that you have act like you're still cool in front of their friends and embarrass the **** out of them.

I've got a moral dilema.

I've got a longtime family friend (50 years)who has had some health issues in the past that she has thankfully overcome. As a result she took the BRCA gene test and encouraged her family to take it too. She came up positive, her sister and the rest of her family came up negative. Her elderly mother refused to do it.

5 years later, she decided to do an Ancestry.com test which stated she was 42% Lebanese. Both her parents have Scottish heritage. Through ancestry.com she contacted a "cousin" by DNA who lives in another state. This cousin bought a family link back to our home town around her time of birth.

She's a smart cookie and is processing this information, not very well though. She hasn't spoken to her mother about it.

Thing is, my mother has always told me and my siblings that back in the day that were runours that my friends mother was having an affair with her "foreign" boss.

Should I tell my friend about this, or should I let her to find her own way through the situation, given that deep down she has figured out what the likely scenario is?

To be blunt, it is none of your business. Added to which, if you repeat the rumour, what good comes of it?

I doubt you would be thanked if you said anything.

Reggie and I have been invited to a Bible Discussion and Study Meeting event. Do we have to bring our own bible? I’ve never been to a BDSM event before.

True.

Unfortunately, I'm now stuck in the middle.
She's having difficulty processing things and has turned to me for advice.

It's probably a guilt thing but I'm struggling knowing what she has told me she has discovered marry's up exactly with what we've been told as kids and having to guide her, knowing the outcome.

If you tell her your family gossip you are basically telling her she is the subject of your family gossip. That could wreck your relationship and make her feel like shit about it all, especially while she is still dealing with the stuff she is dealing with.

Ummm, 7/04 is fourth of July in USA, so that would be 7 April here, not 6th of May
This is true. Dunno what I was thinking when I posted that. O have forgotten the wife's birthday before so set a google notification. Worse thing is our wedding anniversary is 2 days later and I forget that as well. And even worse yet having that evperiance re the rental car means its just a simple date conversion for me to double check... :-( .

Fake it until you make it...

You will be fine. Have some confidence in yourself. They obviously liked something about your cv/resume.

Be courteous and happy and be yourself.
If it’s a customer facing role, they will appreciate it. If it’s a back office role, they’ll appreciate it too

Give #scottyfrommarketing a call, he hasn't been seen in public for over a week now; so he appears to have some free time on his hands to advise you.

Did you know someone blood libeled Goldy on this board the other day?

Straight up.

Maybe its like that episode of South Park where Chef is pissed off at everyone cos of the town flag but the kids aren't bothered by it cos they see four blokes hanging one bloke instead of a racial lynching.

But I doubt it.
Yep its strange how some people just cant see the obvious. Its like in the US, everything in its past must be destroyed because racist slavery. Burn flags, protest holidays, destroy statues and then go out and vote for the Democrat Party the party of slavery, the KKK and Jim Crow. Its almost like theres a hidden Marxist agenda.
R00StaR How do you go from this:

What? How? Explain the obvious.
I miss all the fun conversations.. R00StaR can you elaborate?
