That's ok. It is a learning experience. Most of us have failed interviews at some point.

Those ones are always hard.

I had to do that when I had my RAAF officer selection board interview. I had passed the original in Newcastle and had to drive to 2 hours to Parramatta the night before. I had to problem solve with others to judge leadership and problem solving at 8 in the morning. I then had a 30 minute written portion focused on my capacity to express information quickly and efficiently. Then I had to wait for 5 hours while everyone else was interviewed ahead of me, so I was buggered by the time they interviewed me at 4:30 in the afternoon. I passed the interview ok, but I felt I bottled it a bit with some of my answers. Never got the job because there were not enough positions available in the 12 month period (200 candidates, 10 positions, was told I was close to the top 10), so they wanted me to repeat medicals and both interviews again to remain eligible. I told them to get stuffed after that and I went down the path of a PHD.

You never know - just make sure you note any questions you think you didn't handle well and get some advice on the best responses. Plenty of retail jobs - if not successful, keep applying.

Thanks gk. The questions they asked were okay, I just made up scenarios on the spot about working in a team

That is such $hit. I let management know what l thought of " role-play " and breaking up into " small groups with butchers paper "

LOL well they are gonna let me know at the end of next week, like the 2 interviewers had a lot in common with me. Time to manifest

By the way - 'bottled it' - is that good or bad? Sounded good to me but your vibes are bad. When I was a child like you if something was really good you would say - 'that's so good I think I'll bottle it'.

It happens. Just treat it as a learning experience. Haha a few months ago I completely ****ed up in an interview. It was for a role that involved some customer interaction as well as copywriting and we did a role play, pretending to speak to one of the interviewers as if they were a prospective client. I had a massive mental blank in the middle and forgot the word sustainability and just stood there for a good 2 minutes going, "ah, what's the word? Ah, sorry. Ah, I'm on the spot here." I was like a gulping goldfish haha. Fair to say that I got an email shortly thereafter thanking me for my interest but they wouldn't be proceeding with my application.

Don't put them in the washing machine, let them dry out and then crush the dry dirt out as much as you can. Soak in a bucket with warm water and detergent, change the water and add a bit off bleach.
One more bucket of warm water and detergent, dry, then add to a usual wash. Sorted.
