Anyone else listen to the podcast ‘Trace’ about the murder of Maria James at her book shop in high street Preston? It’s strongly suspected she was murdered by the priest/priests who were abusing her son. The evidence was apparently “lost” by police, well they’ve had a breakthrough and found a bloodstained blanket thought to be destroyed. Hopefully the DNA testing on the blanket exposes the killer (now passed away) and her sons can finally get an answer.

It started in 2017 and forced action. A coronial inquest into both the case and the handling of evidence by police. There’s speculation that members of the police force tied to the church would cover up all kinds of things, though I doubt they’ll ever admit it publicly.

In one episode of Trace they interviewed a man who claimed one of the priests involved abused him too, but said it was done with other priests as part of a satanic ritual. The interviewer says it sounds far fetched but he received a payout from the church….
