Looks like it’s going to kick off again in Palestine. An Israeli sniper shot 41
protesters through a hole in the wall so one of the protesters snuck up to the wall and shot them. Israel will probably start bombing them agin. Such a bad situation.

It started. But watch the media ignore who the aggressor was. A child was actually shot in the neck. The Israeli government and it’s army are cowards.

If the government was willing to prevent Australians from returning home from India; what are the chances they actually give a flying **** about some Afghans that worked for us once upon a time?

**** all and none you Honour.

Brb getting myself assessed for ADHD

https://www.additudemag.com/

I like this website, has good articles, have a read if you like

The one you linked is interesting because migraines can damage the brain. I know since my brain damage event I have definitely had difficulty focusing, forgetfulness, inability to sustain mental effort or to listen, etc. I wonder if there is a causative element, or whether they are genuine comorbidities affected by the same mechanism.

Hmmm the only reason I can think of is maybe mood fluctuations and imbalance of brain chemicals?? I know serotonin plays a role in migraines restricting blood flow

Yeah that's right, serotonin or basilar artery constriction. But the migraine events themselves, contrary to popular belief, can actually damage parts of the brain (particularly migraine with aura which would explain visual disturbances in the one you linked).

My event basically did 100 migraines' damage in one hit, so it was quite pronounced and obvious what it affected.

But, I was having a thought (triggered by the article you posted) that the people who are long term migraineurs may experience the same damage just in a more drawn out way, potentially? If that damage affects the ability of people to concentrate then they could potentially be falling into those inattentive ADHD criteria. Or it could be as you said, that a similar chemical process is happening that cultivates/causes both conditions.

Chronic migraineurs often speak about their inability to focus or sustain attention, so there could be a tonne of them out there who are undiagnosed.

So sorry to hear that. Oh and I actually didn’t know it ruins your brain.

good thoughts you have sir.

if you don’t mind me asking do you have auras?

Absolutely. Mine are generally silent, no head pain. Prodromal auras I get are visual and speech disturbances, sound and light sensitivity, then comes the uncontrollable vomiting (requiring hospitalisation).
Oh nooo that’s horrible ://// I don’t get any auras and can only imagine the pain you would be in.

Could be much, much worse! In fact with a brain that looks like mine it is the best diagnosis I could have hoped for, so I'm incredibly grateful for that.

My advice is keep on top of it and keep a log of things that set you off (if anything). You may grow out of them which happens sometimes but you may start noticing some early signs as well which can help you prepare for one that's coming.

It runs in my family! So my mum and my grandma (before she died), and her sisters all suffer from them. And I got prescribed for maxalt, which cough cough I haven’t refilled in like 6 months 🤣 adhd cough cough where you take it when you feel the earliest symptoms and it works wonders. Have you ever taken it?

Yeah I have a bit of a cocktail. Daily preventative, then a triptan (like maxalt) for when one hits, then Ondansetron as an anti-emetic. Intravenous Ondansetron at the hospital if things get too gnarly.

Had mixed results so far with triptans and can't work out whether they do anything for me or not.

Edit:
For me it's the postdrome that is the hardest, can take 4-8 weeks of speech therapy and minimal sensory stimulus before I'm feeling better.

This is what leadership looks like. Pretty ominous statement coming from Jocko. Wouldn’t want to be the on the wrong side of this. The Taliban should be afraid.

But he’s not president so it’s not happening. I wish he was. He’s hinted at running in the future.
