There's lots of investigative reporting out of the US I read that is quality. Some from the mainstream papers like NY Times, a lot from PBS, politico. I try to avoid commentaries that put spin on things. If it gets to a stage where I 'follow' a journo, it's probably gone too far.

The reason the culture war is working is cos people think what they are angry at is the "puritanical radical left" when its nothing of the sort. That trope is pushed by the likes of Fox and Tucker but most of the people they refer to aren't left wing. They are boushie centrists who will move to the right to protect their stuff.

Because certain elements of basic decency, like an end to bigotry on the basis of race and sex/gender have become mainstream and adopted by people in power after years of resistence, people who support those ideas are starting to identify with power instead of resisting it.

Notice I didn't mention class? Or wealth.

These campaigners support Bill Gates because of shit like GAVI (the Vaccine Alliance) but a year ago when India and South Africa asked for the IP rights on COVID vaccines to be waived for poor countries (the so called TRIPS Waiver) GAVI was one of the main opponents. Because they didn't like the potential threat to corporate profits. Since then Delta arose in unvaccinated India and the rest of the world is wearing the consequences.

You go onto the GAVI website and they have articles in favour of the TRIPS waiver accompanied by a disclaimer saying "This article does not reflect GAVI policy" or wtte. Anyway the Biden Gov finally came on board recently and Australia finally changed its policy to support a TRIPS waiver a month ago. What practical affect this will have remains to be seen.

Its ironic that there does seem to be a Bill Gates depopulation agenda, its just NOT aimed at people who get vaccinated, or Westerners in general. As if it ever would be. (Its like Americans who whinge about the evil NWO coming without realising its been their country's foreign policy for 30 years.)

Nah I’m talking about the types that set up that Chaz zone and the people that think it’s ok for trans women to compete against biological women is sport, or the person that asked me what my pronouns are so we could have a conversation, the people that protested outside of a spar retreat because the owners didn’t want a biological man walking around in the woman’s change room with her **** and balls on show for the young girls, or the people that want trans women that are in jail for rape and sexual abuse in jail with biological women (thankfully here our authorities had the sense to keep Paula Denyer in with the men), I could go on all day with this shit, cultural appropriation is another one that’s getting pretty extreme.
